Fastensol Mounting

Fastensol supplies aluminium and stainless steel mounting systems for solar PV installations, covering pitched roof, flat roof, and ground-mount applications. The range is built around a rail-based platform designed for compatibility with standard crystalline silicon modules as well as thin-film panels, allowing installers to standardise on a single mounting system across mixed project types.

The pitched roof range includes anodised aluminium mounting rails together with roof hooks engineered for tile, slate, and metal roof coverings, including a stainless steel flat tile hook variant for slate and flat-tile roofs. Rails connect via splice kits for continuous runs across larger arrays, with mid and end clamps securing modules in either portrait or landscape orientation. Components are rated for high wind-load environments, making the system suitable for the full range of UK site exposures.

For flat roof and ground-mount projects, Fastensol's ballasted mounting trays provide a non-penetrative fixing solution, supporting modules up to 1750mm in length in portrait orientation. Ballast requirements scale with local wind loading, and the tray-based design allows arrays to be configured and expanded without fixing into the roof membrane — a key consideration where preserving roof warranties or waterproofing integrity is a priority.

As with all solar mounting hardware, correct system selection depends on roof type, pitch, wind zone, and module dimensions, and installations should be designed and certified in line with MCS requirements and manufacturer load tables for the specific site.
