The Fastensol Flat Roof Tray Kit is a ballasted mounting solution for solar PV modules on flat roofs and ground-mounted arrays, designed for panels installed in landscape orientation. Rather than penetrating the roof covering, each tray sits directly on the roof surface and is held down with loose ballast such as gravel or paving slabs, making it a fast, non-invasive option for flat roof installations where penetrations are undesirable.
This 30mm clamp version of the kit is built for solar modules with a frame depth of 30mm and a panel width of up to 1010mm. The tray is manufactured from durable black HDPE and tilts the module to an 18 degree angle, giving improved energy yield and self-cleaning run-off compared to a flat-laid panel.

A project-specific ballast calculator should always be used to confirm the correct ballast weight for your site's wind exposure, building height, and roof location, as lower ballast weights may be acceptable in sheltered locations.
