The Fastensol Pan Tile Roof Hook (Portrait) — TH01 is a substantial stainless steel bracket that secures Fastensol mounting rails to the roof structure beneath pan tile and concrete tile roof coverings, for solar arrays in portrait orientation. It is one of the most widely used hooks in the Fastensol range, suited to the majority of standard UK concrete-tiled residential roofs.
Like all Fastensol pitched-roof hooks, the TH01 is fitted by removing a small number of tiles, fixing the hook directly to the rafter pointing downhill with the tek screws provided, and then replacing the tiles around the hook body for a discreet, weatherproof finish.
Installation Method
To fit, a few tiles are removed from the outside of the roof and the hook secured to a rafter pointing 'downhill' with the tek screws provided. Plywood padding can be used to ensure the correct spacing from the tile surface, and the tiles are simply replaced around the hook to ensure a weatherproof finish.
Professional Installation Required
Installation of Fastensol mounting components must be carried out only by professionally trained installers. It is the installer's responsibility to verify the structural integrity of the roof or substructure the system is fixed to — rotten, rusted, undersized, or excessively spaced rafters are not suitable and installation on such structures will void the warranty.
