The Reina Belbo is a polished stainless steel ladder towel rail with a modern design of elegantly curved horizontal tubes. Premium stainless steel and a bright polished finish make it a statement piece in a bathroom, cloakroom or en suite, while the evenly spaced bars give generous space for hanging and drying towels.
Choose the 820mm rail for compact walls or the tall 1540mm rail for larger bathrooms, both at a 530mm width. The Belbo is rated for central heating, electric or dual fuel use, operates at up to 10 bar and carries a 25 year guarantee.

Safety and installation
Fit the Belbo using a qualified installer. Towel rails run hot in use, so consider the position of the rail where young children or vulnerable users could touch it accidentally.
Key features
Polished stainless steel
Built from premium stainless steel with a polished shine that stays bright and resists corrosion in humid bathrooms.
Curved ladder design
Elegantly curved horizontal tubes form a modern ladder with 9 bars (820mm) or 17 bars (1540mm) for hanging towels.
25 year guarantee
A 25 year manufacturer guarantee gives long-term peace of mind and reflects the durability of stainless steel.
Central heating, electric or dual fuel
Rated C/E/D by the manufacturer: central heating, electric or dual fuel. Confirm the configuration you need when ordering.
10 bar operating pressure
Rated for a maximum operational pressure of 10 bar, with ½" female pipe thread inlet and outlet.
Wide 530mm width
A generous 530mm width and 500mm pipe centres make it a strong focal point in the bathroom.
Heat output and sizing
Outputs below are the manufacturer's central heating figures at ΔT50°C (mean water temperature 70°C, room 20°C), the standard UK reference point, and at ΔT60°C. Always compare like with like: the larger 589 W figure for the 1540mm model is the ΔT60 output, not ΔT50.

Heat pump and low-temperature systems
Output falls significantly when the flow temperature is lower than the ΔT50 or ΔT60 test conditions, as is typical on heat pump systems. Size the rail against the bathroom heat loss at your actual design flow temperature.

Recommended valves
The Belbo has ½" female connections, so it needs a pair of radiator valves with a matching male ½" BSP tail: a lockshield valve for balancing and isolation, plus a manual or thermostatic valve for control. Choose angled valves where the pipework rises from the floor and straight valves where it comes out of the wall. Chrome valves pair well with the polished stainless finish.
BEST ALL-ROUND
A matched thermostatic valve and lockshield pair in chrome, ready for floor-fed pipework. The simplest way to get a complete, finished valve set.
BRAND MATCHED
Reina's own chrome angled valves for a manual-control set that keeps the rail hot whenever the heating is on.
WALL-FED PIPEWORK
A chrome straight thermostatic valve with integral head for pipework from the wall. Pair with a matching straight lockshield to complete the set.
Compatibility
Confirm the inlet and outlet positions against the manufacturer's installation drawing before first fix. Pipe centres are 500mm on both sizes, and the rail projects 147mm from the wall.
Installation notes
Flush the heating system before connecting the rail and treat the system water with a suitable inhibitor as required. Mount the rail vertically using fixings that suit the wall material, and fit the manual or thermostatic valve on one side with the lockshield on the other. Clean polished stainless steel with a soft damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners.
Frequently asked questions
Which Belbo size should I choose?
Match the output to the bathroom heat loss. At ΔT50 the outputs are 245 W (820mm) and 460 W (1540mm). The 1540mm rail has 17 bars for far more towel space, while the 820mm rail has 9 bars and suits compact walls.
Why do I see 589 W quoted for the 1540mm model?
589 W is the manufacturer's output at ΔT60 (2007 BTU/h). At the UK standard ΔT50 the 1540mm Belbo delivers 460 W (1568 BTU/h). Use the same ΔT when comparing with other radiators.
Can I run the Belbo on electric or dual fuel?
The manufacturer rates the Belbo as C/E/D: central heating, electric or dual fuel. Contact our team before ordering if you need an electric or dual-fuel set-up and we will confirm the correct configuration.
Which valves do I need?
The rail has ½" female connections, so choose radiator valves with a ½" male BSP tail. The angled Drayton TRV4 chrome pack is the easiest complete option, and the Reina Portland valves suit a manual set. Use straight valves if the pipes come from the wall.
Should I use a thermostatic valve on a towel rail?
A thermostatic valve closes once the bathroom reaches its set temperature, which reduces towel drying in a warm room. Manual valves keep the rail hot whenever the heating is running, so choose the valve that matches how you use the rail.
What pressure can the Belbo take?
The manufacturer states a maximum operational pressure of 10 bar, which is well above typical domestic heating system pressures.
