Drayton TRV4 Chrome 15mm Straight TRV with Integral Head - 07 05 151C

Description

The Drayton TRV4 Chrome 15mm Straight TRV (MPN 07 05 151C) is a complete thermostatic radiator valve with an integral chrome sensing head pre-fitted to a 15mm straight valve body — boxed as a single, ready-to-fit unit. It's a self-operating valve that regulates the flow of hot water to a radiator to control room temperature, and is well suited to exposed pipework and heated towel rails where a matching all-chrome finish is wanted at the valve end.

As a straight-body version, it's intended for radiator connections where the pipework runs directly in line with the valve, rather than at 90°. It carries the same internal performance as the rest of the TRV4 Classic and Chrome range, including non-stick valve internals, a double gland seal, and pre-setting to balance the radiator through the TRV itself.

ℹ Good to Know: This is a complete boxed unit — the chrome sensing head is already fitted to the 15mm straight valve body. No lockshield is included; for a matched pack with a chrome lockshield, see the TRV4 Chrome 15mm straight with matching lockshield (07 05 175).

All-Chrome Integral Head

The chrome liquid-filled sensing head is pre-fitted to the valve body, giving a coordinated chrome finish at the radiator without separate assembly on site.

Non-Stick Valve Internals

Valve internals are specially formulated to resist limescale build-up, helping the valve continue to open and close freely over years of service.

Double Gland Seal

A double gland seal protects against water leakage, with a top seal that allows the sensing head to be removed for servicing without draining down the system.

Pre-Setting Balancing

Two-pipe TRV4 bodies include a pre-setting facility, allowing the installer to balance the radiator's flow rate directly from the valve during commissioning.

Frost Protection Setting

A marked frost protection position automatically opens the valve when the room temperature falls below approximately 8°C.

Range Limiting Function

A removable tubular pin lets installers restrict the maximum setting, preventing the valve being turned up beyond a chosen number.

Does this come with a lockshield valve?

No, this MPN (07 05 151C) is the TRV only, boxed as a complete unit with the chrome sensing head pre-fitted. A lockshield is fitted separately at the opposite end of the radiator and is sold separately, or as part of a matching valve pack such as 07 05 175.

Can this be fitted with the head horizontal or vertical?

Yes, the sensing head can be rotated to suit either a vertical or horizontal position, and to suit left- or right-hand applications.

What should I do before commissioning the heating system?

Following installation, the heating system should be thoroughly flushed in accordance with BS7593 to remove traces of mineral oil. Formulations containing mineral oil must not subsequently be added to the system.

How do I limit the maximum temperature setting?

Remove the sensor from the valve body, set it to the frost symbol, then reposition the removable tubular pin to the hole corresponding to the desired maximum scale number.

What is the maximum tightening torque for the ring nut?

Do not overtighten — the maximum tightening torque is 30 Nm.
