Description

The WCED fused isolator board is a versatile sub-board for solar points of connection, available in 6-way and 8-way versions. It features MCB protection on the solar line and fused protection on the combined path, giving cable protection in one simple-to-install unit.

Designed for projects where the electricity meters are located outside the flats, it simplifies installation and reduces cabling costs, and it accommodates all SolShare installation configurations, whatever the meter location. The enclosure is spacious enough to house the SolShare CT for a tidier, more compact installation. It comes as standard with a 32A MCB and a 63A BS88 (22 × 58) fuse, both easily swapped to suit your cable sizing or meter tail requirements.

Safety and compliance

Installation must conform to BS 7671 and be carried out by a competent person. The flats' mains supply tails must be rated to carry both the DNO supply and the entire single-phase generation of the inverter. If they are not, additional fusing must be installed.

Check the MCB and fuse ratings

The MCB must carry the maximum single-phase output of the inverter, and the cable must be sized for the same load. Swap the standard 32A MCB and 63A fuse where your design requires different ratings.
