The Verplas 75mm Radial Ducting Cutter (product code VR75-CUTTER) is the purpose-made cutting tool for Verplas 75 mm radial ducting. It is designed to cut 75 mm radial duct smoothly and with ease, so you can trim each run to length on site and get clean ends ready for connectors, bends, plenums and manifold boxes.
Radial ducting is the MVHR distribution method in which individual 75 mm ducts run from a manifold to each room, and the small diameter lets installers thread the ducting through the building fabric. Because every run is cut to length, a tool made for the job helps keep the work quick, tidy and repeatable, whether you are doing one dwelling or a whole new-build site.
It belongs to the Verplas Radial Ducting range: a fully SAP-tested 75 mm system with internally anti-bacterial ducting, designed for seamless installation in Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery projects. Verplas has been a UK ventilation manufacturer since 1986 and is BS EN ISO 9001 approved.
Key features
Specification
Using the cutter in a radial MVHR installation
Plan the run from the manifold box to each plenum, measure and mark the duct, then cut square with the Verplas cutter. Fit the duct into the connector, bend or plenum, engage the locking clips and check that the sealing rings sit correctly. The small 75 mm diameter makes it straightforward to route runs through joists, voids and service zones, and clean cuts keep the airtight performance of each joint as designed.
