The Triton T80Z Fast-Fit electric shower is built for one job: swapping an old electric shower for a new one with as little disruption as possible. It is available in 7.5kW (SP8007ZFF), 8.5kW (SP8008ZFF), 9.5kW (SP8009ZFF) and 10.5kW (SP8001ZFF), so you can match the output to your water supply and electrical capacity. It belongs to the household-favourite T80Z range, the latest generation of the Triton T80 that has been a fixture in UK bathrooms for more than 30 years, and its generous footprint covers the original T80Z Fast-Fit and most competitor models, so you are unlikely to expose bare wall or leave unused fixing holes.
Installation flexibility is where the Fast-Fit earns its name. Swing-Fit™ lets the wiring terminal swing left or right to meet your existing cable, Swivel-Fit™ gives a fully reversible 180° water inlet for left- or right-hand pipework, and 8 water entry points and 6 cable entry points mean the connections can arrive from almost any direction. In use you get push-button start/stop that retains your preferred power and temperature settings, separate flow and temperature controls and an easy-clean shower head with five spray patterns. Covered by a 2 year parts and labour guarantee.

Electrical and installation safety
These are high-load appliances, drawing roughly 31A to 44A at 240V depending on the rating. Each must be installed by a competent electrician on its own dedicated circuit, with RCD protection and in line with BS 7671 and Part P where applicable. Always check the cable size and protective device rating in Triton’s installation instructions against your cable run length and installation method before ordering — do not assume an existing shower cable is suitable. The 10.5kW (SP8001ZFF) requires 10mm² cable.
Compatibility: mains-fed water supply
These are mains-fed electric showers with a 15mm inlet and a maximum static pressure of 10 bar. The 7.5kW, 8.5kW and 9.5kW models need a minimum 1 bar running pressure at 8 l/min; the 10.5kW needs 1.5 bar at 11 l/min. For replacements, slight pipework alterations or new screw holes may still be needed depending on the old unit.
Which rating should I choose?
A higher kW rating heats water faster for a stronger, hotter shower, but needs a heavier electrical supply and, for the 10.5kW, more water pressure and flow. Choose the highest rating your existing cable, consumer unit and water supply can safely support.

Frequently asked questions
Which T80Z Fast-Fit rating is right for me?
It depends on your electrical and water supply. 7.5kW (SP8007ZFF) suits smaller supplies, 8.5kW (SP8008ZFF) and 9.5kW (SP8009ZFF) step up the heating power, and 10.5kW (SP8001ZFF) gives the most output but needs 10mm² cable and 1.5 bar at 11 l/min. Your electrician should confirm what your circuit can carry.
Can I fit this to a gravity-fed water system?
No. The T80Z Fast-Fit is a mains-fed shower. A tank-fed supply will not meet the pressure and flow requirements without a suitable arrangement, so confirm your supply type before ordering.
What cable and protective device does it need?
Each rating needs its own dedicated circuit with RCD protection. The correct cable size and device rating depend on the rating chosen, cable length and installation method, so your electrician should confirm them against Triton’s installation instructions and BS 7671.
Will it replace my existing electric shower?
It is designed to. The footprint covers most electric showers, Swing-Fit™ and Swivel-Fit™ handle left or right connections, and the riser rail brackets can reuse old fixing holes. Some installs still need minor pipework changes or new screw holes.
Is it a thermostatic shower?
No. These models have separate flow and temperature controls. If you want a thermostatic version, look at the T80Z Thermostatic Fast-Fit, which has different product codes.
What guarantee does it carry?
Triton provides a 2 year parts and labour guarantee on its mains-fed electric showers, running from the date of purchase.
