The Trinasolar TS4 connector is the manufacturer's own genuine male and female PV connector pair, engineered to terminate and extend Trinasolar solar module cables. Rated to a 1500V IEC/UL system voltage and carrying up to 55A depending on cable cross-section, it delivers a secure, low-resistance connection built for a full 25-30 year PV system lifetime. With an IP68 rating when mated and a working range of -40°C to +85°C, TS4-M and TS4-F are the correct male/female connectors for replacement, extension, or repair work on any Trinasolar array using TS4-type connectors.

Select Gender and Cable Variant Before Ordering
TS4 connectors are supplied as male (TS4-M) or female (TS4-F) in six cable-OD/conductor variants each (1 through 6). Always match the cable outer diameter and conductor cross-section (mm² / AWG) against the variant table below before ordering — an incorrectly matched connector can compromise the IP68 seal and create a safety risk.
Installation by Qualified Personnel Only
Trinasolar's installation instructions require that TS4 connectors are fitted only by suitably qualified and trained installers, using the correct crimping tool and Trinasolar's own strip/rivet clamp and plastic spanner toolkit. Never connect or disconnect under load, and only carry out work when the system is fully de-energised.
Genuine Manufacturer Fit
As the OEM connector pair for Trinasolar modules, TS4-M and TS4-F guarantee correct mechanical and electrical mating with Trinasolar's own cables and junction boxes — avoiding the fit and seal issues that can arise from generic MC4-style substitutes.
High-Density Cell Compatibility
Rated up to 55A on the size-6 variant (10.0mm² / 8AWG), TS4 connectors comfortably handle the higher string currents produced by modern high-density, multi-busbar solar cells without exceeding contact ratings.
Low Contact Resistance
A contact resistance of ≤0.5mΩ keeps energy losses at the connection point to a minimum, supporting the overall efficiency of the array over decades of service.
Sealed for Outdoor Life
The IP68 ingress rating (tested to 1m submersion for 1 hour) when mated, combined with Class II double insulation, protects the connection from rain, dust, and humidity throughout its outdoor service life.
Wide Thermal Range
Certified for continuous operation from -40°C to +85°C, TS4 connectors are built to withstand both deep winter cold and the high surface temperatures reached on roof-mounted or ground-mount arrays in summer.
Dual Certification
Certified to both TÜV (IEC 62852) and UL 6703 standards, giving installers a connector recognised across international electrical codes for PV DC wiring.

What's the difference between TS4-M and TS4-F?
TS4-M is the male (pin) connector and TS4-F is the female (socket) connector. A complete, sealed string connection requires one of each, correctly mated together.
Is TS4 compatible with standard MC4 connectors?
TS4 connectors are designed and certified to mate with other genuine Trinasolar TS4 connectors. Trinasolar's own transition documentation notes the TS4 system was engineered to match or exceed the performance of legacy MC4-type connectors, but for a guaranteed IP68 seal and full certification, always pair TS4 with TS4.
Which variant and cable size do I need?
Check the cable's outer diameter (OD) and conductor cross-section against the six variants listed in the table above, then choose the male (TS4-M) or female (TS4-F) part number to match. Using a connector with the wrong cable OD will prevent a proper IP68 seal.
Can I crimp this connector myself?
Trinasolar's installation instructions state these connectors should only be installed by suitably qualified and trained specialists using the correct crimping tool, in line with all applicable safety regulations.
What is the maximum current rating?
Depending on the cable variant used, TS4 connectors are rated from 41A (4.0mm²/12AWG) up to 55A (10.0mm²/8AWG) at 85°C, per Trinasolar's official datasheet.
How long can these connectors be stored before installation?
Trinasolar's manual specifies that connectors should be installed within one year of delivery and should not be stored alongside chemicals that could degrade the seal materials.
