The Tesla UK Titanium Immersion Heater with Incoloy Thermostat Pocket is the premium element in the Tesla domestic heater line-up, recommended for hard to very hard water areas where scale build-up is most aggressive. It uses a standard 2-1/4" BSP boss and is rated 3kW at 240V across all three available lengths.
This variant is supplied complete with a dual safety thermostat matched to the element length, a sealing washer, and full fitting instructions. Important Safety Information: This is a mains-voltage electrical heating product for installation into a water-filled cylinder. Installation, wiring and testing must be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician or a Part P registered competent person, in accordance with current IEE wiring regulations. Titanium offers the best resistance to limescale build-up of any material in the Tesla range, making it the manufacturer-recommended choice for hard to very hard water areas where Copper or Incoloy elements would scale up more quickly.
Why does this variant have an Incoloy pocket rather than Titanium?
The thermostat pocket houses the sensing element and does not need to be Titanium itself. An Incoloy pocket still offers strong corrosion resistance and is more cost-effective than a full Titanium pocket, while the Titanium element does the main work of resisting scale.
