The Surestop push-fit remote stopcock lets you shut off the mains water at the flick of a switch, even when the stopcock itself is hidden behind units or in a cramped space. Choose the 15 mm (SS/15/RPL) or 22 mm (SS/22/RPL) version. The remote switch connects to the valve by 2 m of twin-bore tubing and can be fixed to a wall or inside an easy-to-reach cupboard.
The valve is powered by water pressure alone, so it needs no batteries and no electrics. It is limescale-resistant, suits copper or plastic pipe through push-fit connections, is WRAS approved for cold mains potable supplies and operates from 0.5 bar to 10 bar at 23°C. It is manufactured in England and carries a 2-year guarantee.

Water regulations and installation
Install to the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and the manufacturer's installation guide, using a competent installer. Isolate and drain the pipework first, and fit the stopcock with the direction of flow correct. The WRAS approval applies to cold mains potable supplies.
Choose the size to match your pipework
The two versions are identical in operation and differ only in pipe size. Order 15 mm for 15 mm copper or plastic pipe and 22 mm for 22 mm pipe, and check your incoming supply size before ordering.
Ratings and tubing length
The published operating pressures of 0.5 bar minimum and 10 bar maximum are given at 23°C. Confirm with the manufacturer before using the valve on any other duty. Surestop recommends no more than 4 m of connection tubing between the valve and the remote switch.
Protect the valve from debris
The guarantee does not cover damage from debris in the water supply or incorrect installation. If debris may be present, fit a suitable inline filter before the Surestop.
What's in the box
Surestop stopcock with push-fit connections, remote water switch, 2 m of twin-bore tubing and 5 tubing clips.
Key Features
Remote Switch Control
Stop the water supply from the remote switch or from the switch on the valve itself. Ideal where the stopcock is awkward to reach or the water needs isolating regularly.
Water-Pressure Powered
Works on mains water pressure only (from 0.5 bar), with no batteries or electrical supply to maintain.
Limescale Resistant
Designed to be maintenance free and unaffected by limescale, so the stopcock does not seize up like a conventional brass valve.
15 mm and 22 mm Push-Fit
Push-fit connections suit copper or plastic pipe in 15 mm or 22 mm, replacing an existing brass stopcock or fitted on new pipework.
Quick to Fit
The manufacturer states the Surestop can be fitted in less than an hour. The switch is fixed to a flat surface with four No. 6 pan-head screws.
Extendable Tubing
Supplied with 2 m of tubing and extendable with Surestop accessories such as the 4 m extension tube (SS/04/EXT) and extension connector (SA127), up to the recommended maximum of 4 m.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which size should I choose, 15 mm or 22 mm?
Match the size to your incoming pipework: 15 mm for 15 mm pipe or 22 mm for 22 mm pipe. Both are push-fit, suit copper or plastic pipe and include the same 2 m remote switch.
How does the remote stopcock work without power?
It uses the mains water pressure to operate the valve. Pressing the remote switch sends the signal through the twin-bore tubing to the valve, so no batteries or electrics are needed.
Does it replace my existing stopcock?
Yes. The Surestop replaces an existing brass stopcock or can be fitted on new pipework, using push-fit connections.
How far from the valve can I fit the switch?
The kit includes 2 m of twin-bore tubing. Extension tube and connectors are available, but Surestop recommends no more than 4 m of connection tubing in total.
Can I use it on hot water or heating pipework?
The manufacturer's WRAS approval is for cold mains potable supplies, and its published operating pressures are given at 23°C. Check with the manufacturer before using it on any other duty.
What does the guarantee cover?
The 2-year guarantee covers mechanical and material defects, but not labour charges. It does not cover damage from debris in the water supply or incorrect installation, so fit an inline filter if debris is likely and follow the installation guide.
