This case is equipped for metric cable sizes (mm²) and open crimp contacts (4mm², 6mm², 10mm²). Installers working to AWG cable sizing for the North American market should instead specify Stäubli's UL-configured case (PV-WZ/AWG-SET), which uses different crimping pliers and locators sized to AWG cross-sections.

If a specific tool inside the case is lost or worn out, individual replacement parts (e.g. the crimping die, a locator, or the torque tool) can be ordered separately using the part numbers listed, rather than needing to replace the entire case.

The crimping pliers included in this case (PV-CZM-60100) use the same crimping die for both MC4 and MC4-Evo 2 open crimp contacts — only the drop-in locator changes between connector types, and both locators are included in the case.
