⚠ Open crimp contacts only
This tool is designed exclusively for open crimp (B-Crimp) contacts. It is not suitable for closed crimp contacts (used with PV-CZLX/6AWG tooling) or for MC4 barrel crimp contacts (which require the separate PV-CZM-63100 tool). Confirm your connector's contact style before purchase.
◆ Correct locator required for each connector family
This crimping tool ships with both the MC4 locator (PV-LOC-MC4 4/6/10) and the MC4-Evo 2 locator (PV-LOC-MC4‑Evo 2 4/6/10). The correct locator must be fitted for the connector type being crimped — using the wrong locator will not produce a certified crimp, even though the crimping die itself does not need to be changed between connector families.
ℹ Traceable crimp identification
Every crimp made with this tool leaves a registered crimp die identifier imprinted on the terminal, recording the conductor cross-section, crimp height, and crimp width. This provides verifiable evidence years later that the original Stäubli tool and correct settings were used.
One Tool, Two Connector Families
The same crimping pliers and die serve both MC4 and MC4-Evo 2 open crimp contacts — only the drop-in locator changes, so there's no need to carry separate crimping tools for each connector range.
TÜV Rheinland and UL Certified
Certified to TÜV Rheinland and UL standards, meeting the quality bar required for connectors used in certified, insurable PV installations.
Guaranteed 10,000+ Crimp Cycles
Built to withstand at least 10,000 installation cycles, giving professional installers a tool that holds its crimp geometry accuracy over a long working life.
Registered Crimp Traceability
A visible crimp die identifier is left on every terminal, recording cross-section, height, and width — useful during commissioning checks, O&M audits, or warranty claims.
Wide Cross-Section Coverage
Covers 4mm², 6mm², and 10mm² cable in one tool, spanning the most common mid-to-large residential and small commercial PV string cable sizes.
Consistent, Repeatable Crimp Geometry
Precision-machined dies and locators ensure each crimp meets the same height and width tolerance as the last, reducing the risk of high-resistance joints from inconsistent hand-crimping.
