The Solis S6-EH1P8K-L-PLUS is an 8kW single-phase low voltage hybrid inverter from the S6 Plus energy storage range, built for larger residential solar-plus-storage systems. With a recommended max. PV array size of 16kW, 40-60V battery voltage range, and a dedicated generator input, it supports AI-driven charge/discharge scheduling based on time-of-use tariffs, making it well suited to higher-consumption homes running a substantial battery bank.
Supporting a PV array up to 16kW — 160% of rated AC output — the dual MPPT design lets larger roof arrays be connected without oversizing the inverter, improving yield capture during low-light and shoulder-season conditions.
Built-in AI logic automatically schedules battery charging and discharging around time-of-use tariff windows, shifting consumption to cheaper periods without manual scheduling and improving the economics of a larger battery installation.
A dedicated generator input rated at 8kW allows a backup generator to recharge the battery and support loads directly during extended outages, independent of the PV and grid connections.
Native compatibility with Virtual Power Plant and Energy Management System platforms allows the inverter to participate in grid balancing services and third-party energy optimisation schemes as these become available.
The inverter sustains 200% of rated power for 10 seconds, providing the inrush current needed to start motor-driven loads such as pumps and air conditioning compressors from backup power.
