The SolaX X1-MINI G4 1.1kW single phase string inverter is an ultra-compact, fanless grid-tied inverter built for small PV arrays, balcony installations and tight mounting spaces. At 5.2 kg and smaller than an A4 sheet, it pairs a single MPP tracker with a 40–450 V MPPT range, a 16 A input and up to 200% PV oversizing so modern high-power modules can be used without an oversized inverter.
Global MPP scanning with shade optimisation keeps yields up on partially shaded roofs, while the IP66 enclosure, natural convection cooling and Type II surge protection on both the AC and DC side make it a quiet, low-maintenance choice for outdoor and outbuilding installs. With a 1,100 W AC rating it is well suited to small roofs, sheds, garages and low-demand homes.
The inverter includes a built-in export power control function, supports parallel operation of up to 5 inverters without an external EMS, and offers smart loads management for devices such as heat pumps and smart EV chargers. It is supplied with WiFi and is available with AFCI arc-fault detection for the DC side.

Important Safety Information
Installation must be carried out by a competent, qualified person in accordance with BS 7671 and the manufacturer's installation manual. The DC side carries dangerous voltage whenever the array is illuminated. Isolate both AC and DC before opening the inverter.
Grid Connection (G98 / G99)
The X1-MINI G4 range is certified to G98 and G99. Notify or apply to the DNO as required before or after commissioning, and confirm the country code is set correctly for the UK. Where export limiting is required, use the built-in export control together with a compatible meter or CT (sold separately).
Monitoring & Connectivity
Connect to SolaXCloud via the supplied WiFi for monitoring and firmware updates. The datasheet lists 10 second data refresh as an option with the newer WiFi dongle, and the inverter provides I-V curve diagnosis to help identify string or module faults.

What is the maximum PV array I can connect to the 1.1kW model?
The datasheet gives a maximum recommended PV array power of 2.2 kWp. This equals 200% of the 1.1 kW AC rating. The single MPP tracker accepts up to 16 A input current and 22 A short-circuit current, with a 450 V maximum input voltage.
Is this inverter suitable for a balcony or tight space?
Yes. At 290 × 206 × 120 mm and 5.2 kg it is smaller than an A4 sheet, fanless and IP66 rated, so it can be wall mounted in confined or outdoor locations.
