The SolaX SCT split-core current transformer set gives your SolaX energy meter the current readings it needs on a three-phase supply. Each set contains three CTs, one for each measurement channel, and it is available in 200A (SCT-24) and 600A (SCT-50) ratings, both with a 40mA secondary output.
The split-core design opens so it can be clipped around an existing cable, so it can be fitted quickly and without disrupting existing wiring. The sets are designed for the SolaX M3-40, M3-40-Dual and X-HUB, which use them to record grid consumption, feed-in and self-consumption for energy management and export control.
Choose the rating to suit the maximum current on the cable you are monitoring, and the window to suit the cable size: the 200A CT has a 24mm opening and the 600A CT has a 50mm opening. Both are accuracy class 0.5 and carry CE, UL, RoHS and REACH certification.

These 3-in-1 sets are for the SolaX M3-40, M3-40-Dual and X-HUB. The single-phase M1-40 meter uses a single CT, and SolaX recommends a 100A / 40mA CT for it. Check which meter you have before ordering.
Choosing Your Size
Pick the rating that covers the highest current on the monitored cable, and check that the cable fits through the CT opening (24mm on the 200A, 50mm on the 600A). SolaX also makes 100A and 400A 3-in-1 sets, which are separate products.
Important Safety Information
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician to BS 7671. A split-core CT can be fitted without disconnecting the cable, but the conductors it surrounds may be live, so work only where it is safe to do so. Fit each CT on the correct phase and in the orientation shown in the SolaX meter installation guide, and wire them to the meter as instructed.

Which size do I need?
Choose by the maximum current on the cable being measured and by whether the cable fits the opening. The 200A set has a 24mm opening and the 600A set has a 50mm opening. If you are unsure, check the cable size and supply capacity with your installer.
Which SolaX meters do they work with?
SolaX lists the 3-in-1 sets for the M3-40, M3-40-Dual and X-HUB. They are not for the single-phase M1-40, which uses a single CT.
What does the 40mA rating mean?
It is the current the CT outputs to the meter when the cable carries its rated primary current. The 200A model has a 5000:1 ratio and the 600A model a 15000:1 ratio, so 200A or 600A on the cable produces 40mA at the meter.
Do I have to disconnect the cable to fit them?
No. The split-core design opens so the CT can be placed around an existing cable. The work should still be done by a qualified electrician, following the SolaX meter installation guide.
How many CTs are in a set?
Each set contains three CTs, one for each of the three measurement channels on a three-phase supply.
Are other ratings available?
Yes. SolaX also makes 100A and 400A 3-in-1 sets, which are separate products. Choose the rating that suits the current on your supply.
