3.6kW Hybrid Inverter 12.04kWh LFP Storage ☀️ Solar + Battery + Backup MPN: SIG-EC-3.6-SP-BAT-10.0
The Sigenergy SigenStor EC 3.6 SP with 2 × 6.0 kWh Battery is a complete, modular home energy storage system combining a 3.6kW single-phase hybrid inverter/energy controller with two SigenStor BAT 6.0 LFP battery modules — giving 12.04 kWh total / 11.68 kWh usable capacity straight out of the box. The system is engineered as a solar-first home energy hub: it manages PV generation, battery storage, grid import/export, and household loads through a single intelligent platform, with AI-driven optimisation via the mySigen app. It is expandable to up to 48 kWh storage by adding further battery modules, and can be upgraded with the Sigen Energy Gateway for full whole-home backup and power-cut protection.
What's in this Package
① SigenStor Energy Controller EC 3.6 SP
The brain of the system. A 3.6kW single-phase hybrid inverter with integrated EMS (Energy Management System), dual MPPT solar inputs, battery charge controller, grid management, and AI-powered scheduling. Sits at the top of the SigenStor stack. Dimensions: 700 × 300 × 245mm. Weight: 18kg.
② 2 × SigenStor BAT 6.0 Battery Modules
Two modular 6.02 kWh LFP (LiFePO₄) battery modules. Each module delivers 5.84 kWh usable capacity, 3,000W continuous / 4,500W peak discharge power, and up to 10,000 charge cycles. Modules stack directly below the Energy Controller. Dimensions per module: 767 × 270 × 260mm.

⚠️ Important — backup power requires the Sigen Energy Gateway: The EC 3.6 SP inverter and BAT 6.0 batteries alone provide solar self-consumption, tariff optimisation, and export — but whole-home backup power during a power cut requires the Sigen Energy Gateway (sold separately). The Gateway provides the 0ms switchover and isolates the house from the grid during an outage. Without it, the system will shut down on grid failure in accordance with G98/G100 anti-islanding regulations.

FAQs
Do I need solar panels to use this system?
No — the SigenStor can operate as a standalone battery storage system, charging from the grid during cheap off-peak periods (such as Octopus Go or Economy 7) and discharging during peak rate periods to reduce your electricity bills. Solar panels enhance savings further by allowing free solar energy to be stored and used at night, but are not required for the system to function. If you add solar later, the system is fully ready — just connect PV strings to the two MPPT inputs on the Energy Controller.
Can I add more batteries later?
Yes. The SigenStor platform is designed for incremental expansion. This package comes with 2 × BAT 6.0 modules, and you can add up to 4 more to the same tower — up to 6 modules total per Energy Controller. Batteries can also be mixed (BAT 5.0, 6.0, or 8.0 kWh modules), with Sigenergy's per-module optimizer managing the differences in capacity and state of charge. No rewiring of the inverter is needed to add batteries.
How does this compare to the Tesla Powerwall 3?
Both use LFP chemistry and integrate solar and storage. The key differences: SigenStor is modular and expandable (Powerwall 3 comes in fixed 13.5 kWh units requiring multiple units to scale); SigenStor offers an optional DC-coupled 25kW V2H/V2G EV charger (significantly faster than any wall-mounted AC charger); and SigenStor's dynamic tariff integration includes automatic Octopus Agile API sync. Powerwall has the advantage of a longer established track record and simpler all-in-one installation. The 3.6kW inverter in this bundle is appropriate for smaller homes or retrofit scenarios — larger homes with higher PV arrays should consider the 4.6, 5.0 or 6.0kW EC variants.
Is this system eligible for the UK Smart Export Guarantee (SEG)?
Yes. The SigenStor EC is G98 and G100 certified, enabling registration with a DNO for grid export. You can apply for SEG payments from an eligible supplier once your system is MCS-certified and the export meter/generation meter is registered. The mySigen app tracks export volumes for your records.
What is the difference between the EC 3.6 SP and the Sigen Hybrid Inverter?
The SigenStor Energy Controller (EC SP series) is specifically designed to sit at the top of the SigenStor battery stack and physically integrate with the BAT modules via direct DC bus connections — it is the inverter, EMS, and battery charge controller in one unit, and the batteries mount directly beneath it. The Sigen Hybrid Inverter is a separate wall-mounted product designed for installs where the battery cannot be floor-stacked (e.g. the Sigen Battery BC wall-mounted units). For standard SigenStor installations, the EC SP is the correct choice.
