The Sigenergy SigenStack Base SUB-1C is the expansion base for additional stacks in a SigenStack 1C commercial battery system. Each Sub Base supports up to seven SigenStack BAT 12.0 battery modules and connects to the Main stack and to other Sub stacks through integrated power and communication connections, so extra capacity is added without complex cabling.
It is the base to choose when the project needs more than the seven modules a single Main stack can hold. Each Sub stack is topped with the SigenStack Cover, and the whole system remains IP66 rated and controlled by one Sigen C&I Hybrid Inverter.

Good to Know
Sub stacks add capacity. The Base SUB works with the SigenStack Cover rather than a controller. Because each stack holds up to 7 modules, a full 21-module system is spread across one Main stack and two Sub stacks.
Please Note
Base only. The SigenStack Cover, BAT 12.0 modules, Base MAIN-1C (11180006) and BC M2-1C-BST (11140002) are supplied separately. A Sub Base cannot run on its own; it needs a Main stack. Sigenergy specifies 1C bases with the 1C-BST controller, so keep all components in the same rate class.
Important Safety Information
SigenStack is heavy, high-voltage DC equipment (operating range up to 1,100 V; each BAT 12.0 module weighs 105 kg). It must be installed and commissioned by a competent, qualified electrician in line with BS 7671, the Sigenergy installation guide and local building and fire-protection requirements (Sigenergy references NFPA 855). The installation guide requires a level, solid, non-combustible surface with sufficient load-bearing capacity, and a lifting plan prepared for the modules. Do not use a battery module that has been dropped.
Key Features
Expansion stack foundation
Provides the base of each Sub stack, extending the system beyond the Main stack with the same footprint and stacking method.
Integrated power and comms
Power, balancing and communication connections link each Sub Base to the Main Base or the next Sub Base, and the supplied cables snap together.
Up to 7 modules per stack
Accepts 1 to 7 BAT 12.0 modules per Sub stack, each module adding 12.06 kWh of LiFePO4 storage.
Pairs with SigenStack Cover
Each Sub stack is finished with the SigenStack Cover, fitted before the top battery module is installed.
IP66 system protection
IP66 rated system with Smart Air Cooling, aerosol fire suppression and a -20 to 55°C operating range.
Built for 1C systems
Matches the BC M2-1C-BST controller for 1C high-rate operation with 314 A nominal battery current.

Frequently Asked Questions
When do I need a Sub Base?
Whenever the system needs more than the 7 modules that fit on the Main stack. Each additional stack of up to 7 modules stands on its own Base SUB-1C.
How many Sub Bases can one system use?
The 1C-BST controller supports 4 to 21 modules per system. With a maximum of 7 modules per stack, a full system uses one Main stack and two Sub stacks.
Does the Sub stack need a controller?
No. The BC-BST controller mounts on the Main stack only. The Sub stack uses the SigenStack Cover, which is installed before the top battery module.
How are Sub stacks connected?
Cables supplied in the packing box link power (B+/B-), balancing and communication ports between Sub Bases and to the Main Base. On the last Sub Base the installation guide calls for the bus to be short-connected and any unused ports plugged.
Can I mix 0.5C and 1C bases?
Sigenergy lists separate 0.5C and 1C components in its configuration scenarios, with the 1C scenarios using BC M2-1C-BST, Base MAIN-1C and Base SUB-1C together. Keep every component in the same rate class.
