The Renusol Elongation Rails XL (REN-460196) extend the module compatibility of the Renusol ConSole flat roof mounting system, widening the range of PV modules that can be securely fixed to ConSole 4.1, 4.2, 5.2, 6.2 and ConSole+ (CS+) trays without altering the underlying ballasted, non-penetrative installation method.
Supplied as a pair of aluminium and stainless steel rails, this accessory is purpose-built for larger-format panels that fall outside the standard ConSole mounting-hole range. By replacing the standard U-profile rail with the XL elongation rail, installers can accommodate modules with a wider hole-gap spacing on the same proven ConSole tray, avoiding the need for an entirely different mounting system when panel dimensions grow.

Accessory, Not a Standalone System
The elongation rails are an accessory for the Renusol ConSole system and are not a standalone mounting product. They must be fitted in place of the standard U-profile rail on an existing or newly ordered ConSole 4.1, 4.2, 5.2, 6.2, or ConSole+ (CS+) tray.
Check Hole-Gap, Not Panel Width
The Renusol manufacturer datasheet defines compatibility by the panel's mounting hole spacing (895–1015mm without the elongation rail, extending to 1016–1110mm with it fitted), not by the panel's overall physical width. Some third-party listings quote an approximate overall module width of up to 1160mm — always check the hole-to-hole measurement on your specific panel's datasheet against the 1016–1110mm figure before ordering.
Wider Module Compatibility
Extends the supported mounting hole-gap width from 895–1015mm up to 1016–1110mm, opening up ConSole to a broader range of modern, larger-format PV modules.
Corrosion-Resistant Build
Manufactured from aluminium with stainless steel fixings, matching the durability of the standard ConSole U-profile for long-term outdoor use.
Simple Rail Swap Installation
Fits in place of the standard U-profile rail using the same fixing points, so installers can upgrade compatibility without reworking the ConSole tray itself.
Retains Ballasted, Non-Penetrative Design
Works within the existing ConSole approach: no roof penetration is introduced, and the tray continues to be secured using ballast such as gravel or paving slabs.
Supports Longer Modules Too
As well as wider panels, fitting the rail increases the maximum supported module length to 2400mm, useful for larger commercial-format panels.
Current Generation Part
REN-460196 is the current version of the elongation rail, superseding the earlier R460001 part on the same ConSole+ platform.
Also Extends Maximum Module Length
Fitting the elongation rails also raises the maximum supported module length to 2400mm (up from 2150mm on the standard ConSole rail), making this accessory useful for both wider and longer panels within a single ConSole array.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Renusol REN-460196 elongation rail actually do?
It replaces the standard U-profile rail on a Renusol ConSole tray, widening the range of module mounting-hole spacings the tray can accept from 895–1015mm up to 1016–1110mm, and increasing the maximum supported module length to 2400mm.
Which ConSole systems is this compatible with?
It is compatible with ConSole 4.1, 4.2, 5.2, 6.2, and ConSole+ (CS+) trays. It is an accessory rail for these systems rather than a standalone mounting product.
How do I know if my solar panel needs this elongation rail?
Check the mounting hole-gap measurement on your panel's datasheet (the distance between the fixing holes on the back of the frame, not the overall panel width). If this falls between 1016mm and 1110mm, you will need the elongation rail; panels in the 895–1015mm range use the standard ConSole rail instead.
Do I need one pack or more per panel?
Each PV module fitted to a ConSole tray requires two rails (one on each side), so a single REN-460196 pack of 2 rails is enough for one module position.
Does fitting the elongation rail affect the ballast or roof fixing method?
No. The elongation rail is a direct swap for the standard U-profile rail, so the ConSole tray continues to use the same ballasted, non-penetrative installation with no changes to roof fixing requirements.
Is REN-460196 the same as the older R460001 part?
REN-460196 is the current-generation replacement for the discontinued R460001 elongation rail. If you are matching parts on an older installation, confirm with your installer whether the earlier part is still fitted, as the two are not stocked in parallel.
