Description

The Reliance Easifit Thermostatic Mixing Valve (15mm, code HEAT155010) blends hot and cold water to a safe, stable outlet temperature, removing the risk of scalding at basins, baths, and showers. Manufactured by Reliance Valves (RWC) under the Ausimix product family, it uses JG Speedfit push-fit connections for tool-free installation and is compact enough to fit the tight spaces typical of pedestal basins and wall-hung sanitaryware. It is approved to both the TMV2 and TMV3 schemes, covering domestic and higher-risk healthcare/public-sector installations respectively.

This is the 2-in-1 configuration, incorporating check valves on both hot and cold inlets as well as strainers that protect both the check valves and the main thermostatic element from debris — reducing the risk of cross-flow contamination between hot and cold supplies.

What is the difference between TMV2 and TMV3?

TMV2 covers general domestic and commercial use, while TMV3 is the more stringent scheme required in healthcare and other higher-risk settings, with tighter testing for fail-safe operation if the cold supply fails. This valve is approved to both, so it can be specified for either type of installation.

Can this valve be used with plastic pipe?

Yes. The push-fit HEAT155010 is compatible with PEX pipe (BS7291 part 3), polybutylene pipe (BS7291 part 2), and copper pipe (BSEN1057:2006). When used with PEX pipe, a JG Speedfit Superseal Insert must be fitted to maintain the pipe's roundness and add strength to the joint.

What temperature does the valve deliver?

It is factory set to 41°C on both the TMV2 and TMV3 configurations, with a working range of 38°C–46°C and a maximum adjustable range of 30°C–48°C, giving installers flexibility to fine-tune the outlet temperature to the specific application.

Why is it called a 2-in-1 valve?

The 2-in-1 designation refers to the check valves integrated on both hot and cold inlets, along with strainers protecting them — distinct from Reliance's 4-in-1 range, which additionally includes an isolating valve and test port for monitoring system pressure and temperature.

Does it need any special tools to fit or service?

No. The JG Speedfit push-fit connections allow the valve to be fitted and removed without tools — simply push the pipe fully home to connect, or press back the collet to release it for servicing or replacement.
