The Reina Touch Thermostatic Element converts a compatible Reina electric or dual-fuel radiator into a precisely controlled heat source, replacing a basic on/off cartridge with a touch-operated thermostat and LCD display built directly into the element body.
Designed for year-round use, it lets a towel rail or radiator run independently of the central heating boiler — ideal for warming a bathroom in summer or adding a dedicated heat source to a room with no existing gas supply. The element is rated IP44 and Class I for safe use in bathroom environments, with open window detection, overheat protection and a 2/4 hour boost mode for quick top-up heat.

🔴 Compatible radiators only
This element must only be fitted to a Reina radiator or towel rail approved for electric or dual-fuel operation. Confirm compatibility with the specific radiator model before ordering — fitting to an unsuitable body can invalidate both the element and radiator guarantees.
Touch LCD control
A capacitive touch panel and LCD readout replace physical dials, giving a clean, splash-resistant control surface that's simple to wipe down and unlikely to accumulate limescale or grime in a bathroom setting.
Boost mode for fast heat
The 2/4 hour boost function temporarily overrides the thermostat to deliver rapid warm-up — useful for drying towels quickly or taking the chill off a room before use, without needing to reset the schedule afterwards.
Open window detection
The element monitors for a sudden drop in ambient temperature and automatically reduces output if it detects an open window, cutting wasted energy during ventilation without any manual intervention.
Dual-range thermostatic control
Independent room temperature (15–30°C) and liquid temperature (30–70°C) control ranges let the element be tuned either to a comfortable ambient reading or to a specific rail surface temperature, depending on how the radiator is used.
Overheat and frost protection
Built-in thermal cut-out prevents the element from exceeding safe operating temperatures, while frost protection keeps the radiator lightly heated in cold, unoccupied rooms to guard against freezing pipework.
Cable cover included
A matching cable cover is supplied as standard, giving surface-mounted wiring a tidy, finished appearance that complements the element's chosen finish.
🟢 Available across the wattage range
The Touch Thermostatic Element is offered in 300W, 600W and 900W options to match rail size, letting the same control technology be specified across small cloakroom towel rails through to large bathroom radiators. Brushed Brass is currently offered in 300W and 600W only.

Can I fit this to any radiator?
No. The Touch Thermostatic Element is designed to fit Reina radiators and towel rails approved for electric or dual-fuel use. Check the specific radiator's product page for confirmed element compatibility before ordering.
What's the difference between room and liquid temperature control?
Room temperature control targets a set ambient reading in the space (15–30°C), while liquid temperature control targets the temperature of the water inside the rail itself (30–70°C). Which mode suits you depends on whether you want consistent room comfort or a specific rail surface heat.
Is it safe to use in a bathroom?
Yes. The element carries an IP44 ingress protection rating and is Class I electrically classified, making it suitable for typical UK bathroom zones when installed in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations. Always confirm the correct zone rating with a qualified electrician.
Can I run it in summer without the central heating on?
Yes — that's one of its main benefits. Because it's a standalone electric element, it can heat the towel rail independently of the boiler, so it works year-round even when the central heating is switched off.
What does the boost mode do?
The 2/4 hour boost temporarily increases heat output above the current thermostat setting, useful for quickly warming towels or the room, then automatically reverts to the standard setting once the timer ends.
