The Panasonic CS-MZ20CFEA is a 2.0kW floor-standing console indoor unit, the smallest-output model in the Floor Console range and built specifically for multi-split use. nanoe X (Generator Mark 3) air purification is built in as standard.
Unlike the larger CS-Z25CFEAW, CS-Z35CFEAW, and CS-Z50CFEAW console models, the CS-MZ20CFEA has no dedicated single outdoor unit — it is designed to run as one zone on a Free Multi Z multi-split system, such as the CU-3Z52CBE, CU-3Z68CBE, or CU-4Z68CBE, alongside other console or wall-mounted indoor units.
Important: F-Gas Qualified Installation Required
This indoor unit operates with R32 refrigerant circulated from its outdoor unit, and falls under F-Gas Regulations. Installation and commissioning must be carried out by an F-Gas certified engineer. See the certification form above before ordering.

The CS-MZ20CFEA cannot be run on a dedicated single outdoor unit. It is designed exclusively for use on a Free Multi Z multi-split outdoor unit — confirmed pairings include the CU-3Z52CBE, CU-3Z68CBE, and CU-4Z68CBE. Confirm the total combined indoor capacity on any multi-split system stays within the outdoor unit's rated range before ordering.
Good to Know: What nanoe X Does
nanoe X generates hydroxyl radicals that are released into the room to help inhibit airborne pollutants, certain bacteria and viruses, and odours. It runs continuously — even with heating and cooling switched off — and needs no filter replacement.
Smallest Output in the Console Range
At 2.0kW nominal cooling, the CS-MZ20CFEA is sized for the smallest rooms on a multi-zone project, such as box rooms or ensuites, in the same console format as the larger Z-series models.

No. This listing is for the indoor unit only. Unlike the larger console models in the range, it has no dedicated single outdoor unit and must be paired with a Free Multi Z multi-split outdoor unit.
