Key Features
Solar & Grid Charging
Charge from your solar panels during the day and use stored electricity in the evening. Or charge from the grid overnight on a cheap tariff — libbi optimises automatically around your time-of-use or dynamic tariff.
AC & DC Coupled
Compatible with both AC-coupled retrofits to existing PV systems and DC-coupled new installations via the libbi hybrid inverter — no need for a separate inverter in new builds.
myenergi Ecosystem Integration
Works alongside myenergi eddi diverters and zappi EV chargers. Set priorities so stored electricity powers your home, heats your water, or charges your car — in the order you choose.
Optional Blackout Backup
When installed with the blackout backup option, libbi can supply a dedicated circuit or socket in the event of a grid power cut, keeping essential loads running.
Remote App Control
Monitor live import and export, set charge priorities, and manage your energy from anywhere in the world via the myenergi app on iOS or Android.
Anti-Drain Protection
You control exactly how stored energy is used. libbi won't drain when an EV is plugged in unless you specifically allow it — keeping your priorities intact.
LiFePO4 Chemistry
Lithium iron phosphate is the safest and longest-lasting lithium battery chemistry, with a rated cycle life of 10,000 cycles and inherent thermal stability.
IP65 Weather Resistant
Fully rated against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, suitable for garage and utility room installations where conditions may not be perfectly controlled.

⚠️ Important: Battery Only — Additional Components Required
This listing is for the battery module alone. A complete libbi system also requires a libbi Hybrid Inverter (3.68kW or 5kW), a libbi Controller (LIBBI-C110W), and a Cable Kit (LIBBI-EK51 for 5kWh or larger kits for expanded systems). These are listed separately. Additionally, all myenergi libbi installations must be carried out and commissioned by a myenergi-trained and approved installer — commissioning by an unregistered installer will void the warranty.
📦 Delivery Note
Battery modules are heavy (58kg each) and are delivered on a pallet. Due to the weight, delivery is kerbside only — please ensure you have sufficient personnel and equipment to move the unit from the kerbside to its installation location. A forklift may be required for larger multi-module orders.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add more battery modules later?
Yes — that's one of the key advantages of the libbi system. You can start with one 5kWh module and add up to three more at any time, up to a maximum of 20kWh with the 5kW inverter. Each additional module requires the appropriate cable expansion kit (sold separately).
Do I need solar panels to use the libbi battery?
No — libbi can be used without solar panels as a pure grid storage device, charging overnight on cheap tariffs and discharging during expensive peak periods. You can also add solar panels later and the system will adapt automatically.
Can the libbi battery provide backup power during a power cut?
Optional blackout backup is available — when configured, the libbi can supply a dedicated circuit or socket during a grid outage. This feature must be enabled and wired during installation by an approved installer. It is not an automatic whole-home backup system.
What is the warranty on the libbi battery?
The battery modules carry a 10-year warranty. This warranty is valid only when the system has been installed and commissioned by a myenergi-trained installer registered on the myenergi portal.
Is this compatible with existing myenergi eddi or zappi devices?
Yes. All myenergi devices share surplus and consumption data through the myenergi hub. You can set priorities so that, for example, the battery charges before the zappi EV charger activates, or the eddi only diverts to the immersion heater once the battery is full. All managed through a single app.
