The Mitsubishi Ecodan FTC7 Pre-Plumbed Cylinder 250 L Standard (EHPT25X-UKHEWL) is a factory pre-plumbed and pre-wired unvented water heater designed specifically for use with the Ecodan PUZ-WZ and PUZ-(H)WM air source heat pump range. Its high-grade duplex stainless steel tank offers exceptional strength and corrosion resistance, and its performance, control system and insulation levels exceed the latest requirements of Building Regulation Part L. Comes complete with the FTC7 controller, circulating pumps, plate heat exchanger, 3-way diverter valve, scale trap, low loss header, flow sensor and a 3 kW immersion heater — all pre-fitted at the factory.

What does "pre-plumbed" actually mean for the installer?
The FTC7 controller, all three circulating pumps, the plate heat exchanger, diverter valve, scale trap, low loss header and flow sensor ship factory-fitted and pre-wired. The installer connects primary flow/return, heating zone flow/return, DHW, cold feed and electrics — no on-site hydraulic assembly of these internal components is needed.
Is this cylinder suitable for an unvented setup?
Yes — the cylinder is unvented and ships complete with the required safety devices: pressure and temperature relief valve, expansion relief valve and tundish. A G3-qualified installer is required to commission the unvented hot water side per UK Building Regulations.
Can this run two heating zones?
As standard the cylinder is configured for DHW and 1 heating zone. An optional 2-zone accessory pack is available if your system needs independent control of two heating circuits — for example underfloor heating and radiators.
What's the difference between Standard and Slimline?
The Standard range (this listing) covers the full 150–300 L capacity range across six model variants. Mitsubishi also offer a separate Slimline range (150 L and 170 L only) with a narrower cabinet for constrained airing cupboards. Standard units use 60 mm insulation; Slimline units use 50 mm.
Does this cylinder need MELCloud set up separately?
No separate Wi-Fi interface purchase is needed — a Wi-Fi adaptor ships included, pre-wired to the FTC7 controller. The installer locates and mounts it during commissioning for full MELCloud remote access.
