Description

The Mitsubishi PAC-IF082B-E is the standalone FTC7 master controller for integrating a Mitsubishi Ecodan outdoor unit with a third-party hydraulic indoor kit, custom cylinder configuration, or commercial system. It contains the full FTC7 control logic, scheduling, weather compensation, energy metering and two-zone control — packaged for separate wall-mounting rather than embedded inside a pre-plumbed cylinder.

The FTC7 platform is the current generation. For older Mitsubishi systems running FTC4 or FTC6 firmware, this controller isn't a direct drop-in — you'd need to upgrade other system elements. Contact our team for compatibility advice on older systems.

Does this support cascade configurations?

The FTC7 supports cascade control via additional accessories. For multi-unit cascade setups, speak to our renewables team about complete system design.

What sensors do I need with this controller?

For a typical third-party cylinder install, you need: one PAC-TH011TK2-E (DHW tank sensor), a pair of PAC-TH011-E (primary flow + return), and one PAC-FS01-E (primary flow rate). All are sold separately and listed under our Mitsubishi accessories.

Is this OK for commercial/landlord use?

Yes — it's the standard choice for commercial Ecodan installs, multi-property landlords using bespoke cylinders, and any scenario where the standard pre-plumbed format doesn't fit.
