Lawton ACR soft copper coil is 15 m of annealed, phosphorus-deoxidised copper tube (Cu-DHP, CW024A) made to EN 12735-1 for refrigerant pipework on split air conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration systems. Every coil is cleaned, nitrogen-purged and capped, so the bore arrives ready for refrigerant use.
The soft R220 temper bends easily on site and suits flared and brazed connections, and the coil is also compatible with Conex Bänninger MaxiPro press fittings. Available in four sizes: 1/4" (22 SWG), 3/8" (21 SWG), 1/2" (21 SWG) and 5/8" (20 SWG).

⚠ F-Gas certified engineers only
Installation, brazing and pressure testing of refrigerant pipework must be carried out by suitably F-Gas certified engineers. Purge the tube with oxygen-free nitrogen when brazing to prevent internal oxide scale.
⚠ Check the tube suits your refrigerant and system pressure
Maximum working pressures below are for annealed tube at up to 100 °C. R32 and R410A systems run at higher pressures than older refrigerants, so confirm the tube wall suits the system design pressure and the outdoor unit manufacturer's requirements.
ℹ Keep the ends capped until use
Lawton supplies ACR tube cleaned, nitrogen-purged and capped. Leave the end caps on until the moment of installation to keep the bore clean and dry.
Key features
🔩
Made for ACR
Manufactured to EN 12735-1 specifically for refrigeration and air conditioning, not general plumbing duty.
🧼
Clean and capped
Cleaned, nitrogen-purged and capped tube protects the internal bore from contamination before installation.
🌀
Soft and easy to bend
The R220 soft temper (min. 220 N/mm² tensile strength, min. 40 % elongation) forms easily around obstacles.
⚙️
High-purity copper
Cu-DHP (CW024A) phosphorus-deoxidised copper with at least 99.90 % copper content.
🔗
Press fitting compatible
Works with Conex Bänninger MaxiPro press fittings. Check the MaxiPro tube compatibility tables for the wall thickness you use.
📏
Four standard sizes
1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8" 15 m coils cover the common liquid and gas line sizes on split systems.

Maximum working pressures (MWP) are calculated to EN 378-2 using stress values from EN 14276 and are quoted for tube in the annealed condition.
Frequently asked questions
Which size do I need for the liquid and gas lines?
The pipe sizes are set by the outdoor unit manufacturer and listed in its installation manual. Smaller liquid lines are commonly 1/4" or 3/8", with larger gas lines in 3/8", 1/2" or 5/8".
Is this tube suitable for R32 and R410A?
It is made to the refrigeration and air conditioning tube standard EN 12735-1. Always confirm that the wall thickness and working pressure suit the refrigerant, the system design pressure and the unit manufacturer's instructions.
Can I use it with press fittings instead of brazing?
Yes. Lawton states its ACR tube conforming to EN 12735-1 can be used with Conex Bänninger MaxiPro press fittings. Check the MaxiPro tube compatibility tables and keep coil tube round before pressing.
Why is the tube capped?
ACR tube is cleaned and nitrogen-purged at manufacture and capped to keep the bore free of dust, moisture and debris. Keep the caps on until installation.
Should I braze with nitrogen flowing?
Yes. Purge the pipe with oxygen-free nitrogen while brazing to prevent oxide scale forming inside the tube, which can block filter driers and expansion devices.
