The Lawton ACR 90° long radius elbow (C x C) turns refrigeration copper tube through 90 degrees with a brazed capillary joint. The long radius bend gives smoother refrigerant flow and a lower pressure drop than a short radius elbow, which matters on long pipe runs.
It is a seamless, one-piece fitting made to ASME B16.22 in CW024A copper, cleaned for air conditioning and refrigeration service. Available in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" sizes, covering the liquid and gas lines on split air conditioning systems.

⚠ F-Gas certified engineers only
Brazing and pressure testing on refrigerant pipework must be carried out by suitably F-Gas certified engineers. Flow oxygen-free nitrogen through the pipe while brazing.
⚠ Do not braze close to pressed joints
Heat from brazing can damage the seal of a nearby press fitting. Follow the press fitting manufacturer's minimum brazing distances, or fabricate the brazed section before assembling the pressed joints.

Frequently asked questions
Why choose a long radius elbow?
A long radius bend has a gentler curve, which reduces pressure loss and flow restriction in refrigerant lines. It is the better choice where pipe runs are long or pressure drop matters.
Which tube does it fit?
Each elbow fits ACR copper tube of the same nominal outside diameter, for example 1/4" to 3/4" tube to EN 12735-1.
Can I use it with press fittings?
You can combine brazed and pressed joints on one system, but keep to the press fitting manufacturer's minimum distances between a brazed joint and a pressed joint.
Which refrigerants is it suitable for?
Lawton lists R32, R410A, R134a, R404A, R407C, R407F, R1234yf, R1234ze and R744 among the refrigerants its ACR fittings suit. Always check the system design pressure and the unit manufacturer's instructions.
How should I braze it?
Clean the tube and fitting, apply a suitable brazing alloy, and flow oxygen-free nitrogen through the pipe throughout. Use certified F-Gas engineers for refrigerant pipework.
