The Kamco ScaleBuster MISB24-ET is a 1" (DN25) patented catalytic water conditioner that prevents and reduces limescale build-up and corrosion throughout a plumbing or heating system, without using electricity, chemicals, salt or magnets. As mains water passes through the unit's precision-engineered catalytic chamber, the crystalline structure of dissolved calcium and magnesium is altered so that scale-forming minerals stay in suspension rather than depositing as hard scale on pipework, heat exchangers and outlets downstream.
Rated to 16 bar and built for higher-flow commercial and larger domestic installations, the MISB24-ET carries independent WRAS and NSF International approval for use on potable water supplies, alongside TUV and KTW certification, and is backed by a 10-year no-quibble warranty.

Does the ScaleBuster soften the water?
No. It does not remove minerals from the water or change its chemical composition — the water will still test as "hard". Instead, it changes how calcium carbonate crystallises so scale-forming particles remain suspended in the flow rather than depositing as hard scale on surfaces.
Does it need a power supply?
