The Kamco CombiMag Solo is a magnetic power flushing filter that installs in line with any power flushing pump to rapidly remove circulating black iron oxide contamination from the flushing water. A powerful 11,000 gauss rare earth magnet captures magnetic debris as it passes through the transparent cylinder, keeping the flushing chemical cleaner and the process working at full efficiency throughout the job.
A cyclone construction gives the water a long residence time inside the cylinder, so even the smallest particles are pulled onto the central magnet rather than continuing to re-circulate through the boiler and heat exchanger. The dual three-port bypass valve system lets the engineer inspect and clean the magnet at any point without interrupting the power flush, and the transparent cylinder gives a clear visual indication of how much contamination has been removed.

Good to Know: Installed In Line With Any Power Flushing Pump
CombiMag Solo connects to the flow side of the power flushing pump using the 1.5 metre hose supplied, with the standard pump flow and return hoses then connecting the top of the filter to the heating system. Both three-port valves should be left in the CIRCULATE position during normal flushing.
Please Note: Recommended Position: Before the Boiler
The power flushing pump can circulate in either direction using the flow reverser lever, but Kamco recommends the initial set-up positions the CombiMag before the boiler, giving the heat exchanger a higher level of protection during the early, heaviest-debris stage of the flush.
Important: Strong Magnet — Handle With Care
The removable magnet is extremely powerful and strongly attracted to steel surfaces. Take care not to trap fingers when lifting it out, and keep it well away from electronic equipment, watches, mobile phones and credit cards once removed from the cylinder, as it can damage or wipe magnetic storage media.
Rapid Iron Oxide Removal
The 11,000 gauss neodymium magnet pulls magnetic iron oxide out of the flushing water as it circulates, preventing the debris from continuing to pass through the boiler and pump.
Bypass for Uninterrupted Cleaning
The dual three-port bypass valve system allows the magnet to be lifted out, inspected and cleaned mid-flush without having to stop the power flushing pump.
Protects the Boiler
Positioned before the boiler in the circuit, the filter intercepts iron oxide before it can pass through the heat exchanger, reducing wear during the most debris-heavy phase of the flush.
Visual Progress Indicator
The transparent cylinder lets the engineer see exactly how much sludge has been captured, giving both the installer and the householder clear evidence the flush is working.
Reduces Time and Water Use
By removing circulating debris rather than relying on dilution alone, CombiMag Solo reduces dumping time and water consumption, shortening the overall length of the job.
Supplied Ready to Use
The filter comes with a protective tool case and coupling hose, so it's ready to connect straight into the flushing pump circuit on arrival.

What does the CombiMag Solo do during a power flush?
It removes circulating black iron oxide contamination from the flushing water using an 11,000 gauss rare earth magnet, capturing debris that would otherwise keep passing through the boiler and pump.
Can I clean the magnet without stopping the power flush?
Yes. The dual three-port bypass valve system allows the magnet to be switched out of circulation, inspected and cleaned, then switched back in without interrupting the flushing pump.
Where should the CombiMag Solo be positioned in the circuit?
Kamco recommends installing it before the boiler in the initial set-up, so the heat exchanger gets the highest level of protection during the early, heaviest-debris stage of the flush.
Is the CombiMag Solo compatible with any power flushing pump?
Yes. It's designed to be installed in line with any power flushing pump, not just Kamco's own Clearflow range.
What precautions should I take when handling the magnet?
The magnet is very powerful and strongly attracted to steel, so take care not to trap fingers when removing it. Keep it away from electronic equipment, watches, mobile phones and credit cards once out of the cylinder.
