The Intatec 28mm Fill and Flush Valve (INFAF28) combines two jobs into a single brass fitting: filling a sealed heating system and flushing it during commissioning or servicing. Instead of plumbing in separate isolation valves and drain points, installers get one compact 28mm compression fitting that handles both, cutting labour time on new-build and retrofit installations alike.
Built from solid brass for long-term corrosion resistance, the valve is rated to 16 bar maximum inlet pressure and compliant with BS EN 1252-2 for use with copper tube compression fittings. It's suitable for water and water/glycol mixtures up to 50%, making it a practical choice for heat pump circuits as well as standard gas and electric boiler systems where anti-freeze protection is needed.

Installer tip: Because fill and flush share one fitting, the INFAF28 is ideal for systems where space around the pipework is tight — plant rooms, boiler cupboards, and heat pump manifolds — where fitting two separate valves isn't practical.

Where It's Used
The Intatec INFAF28 is designed for sealed heating systems — including gas and electric boiler installations, unvented cylinder circuits, underfloor heating manifolds, and air source heat pump systems where glycol-based anti-freeze fluid is used. Its combined fill/flush function makes it particularly well suited to plant rooms and heat pump enclosures where space for pipework fittings is limited, and it's equally at home on domestic retrofits or new-build commissioning.
What's the difference between the 22mm and 28mm versions?
Both the INFAF22 and INFAF28 use the same brass body and G 3/4" fill/flush port; the only difference is the compression connection size — 22mm or 28mm — matched to your pipework diameter.
Can this valve be used with heat pump glycol/anti-freeze mixtures?
Yes. The valve is rated for water and water/glycol mixtures up to 50%, making it suitable for heat pump circuits that require anti-freeze protection.
Does it need to be installed by a qualified installer?
Yes. As with any component on a sealed heating system, installation should be carried out by a competent heating engineer or plumber in line with the manufacturer's instructions and current UK water regulations.
What's the maximum pressure and temperature it can handle?
The INFAF28 is rated to 16 bar maximum inlet pressure, with an operating temperature range of -5°C to 99°C. It should not be used in freezing conditions.
Does it come with any accessories?
Yes, the valve is supplied with protective sealing cover caps that fit over the fill/flush port to keep out dust and prevent accidental discharge when the valve isn't in use.
