The Intatec 18-Litre Intafil Plus Sealed System Kit (IFP18) is a complete, pre-assembled solution for filling, maintaining and pressure-protecting a sealed central heating system. Rather than sourcing an expansion vessel, filling loop and safety valve separately, installers get a wall-mounted 18-litre vessel supplied together with every component needed to fill, isolate and safely relieve pressure on the system — all in one kit.
As the system heats up, expanding water enters the vessel and compresses the air charge behind a synthetic rubber diaphragm, absorbing the increase in volume and keeping system pressure within a safe, stable range. The kit is built around a carbon steel vessel with a durable epoxy-polyester powder coating, and is supplied complete with a filling loop, double check valve and isolating ball assembly, ball valve, and a safety relief valve with pressure gauge.

Please note: This kit and vessel are designed for unvented heating systems only. It is not suitable for potable water applications, or for systems augmented with an uncontrolled heat source such as solar thermal or a wood burner.
Compliance: Complies with G24.1 and G24.2 of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, and is fully CPR compliant. Installation should be carried out by a competent heating engineer in line with the manufacturer's instructions and current UK regulations.

Where It's Used
The Intafil Plus IFP18 is designed for sealed central heating systems in domestic and light commercial properties, including boiler and heat pump installations. It's suitable for both retrofit and new build projects, and the 18-litre vessel size makes it a good match for small-to-medium sealed systems where the total system water volume calls for that capacity of expansion absorption.
What size vessel do I need for my system?
Vessel sizing depends on the total water content of the heating system, its operating temperature range, and the pre-charge and working pressures used. The Intafil Plus range is available in several sizes; a heating engineer can calculate the correct size for a specific installation.
Can this kit be used on a potable water system?
No. The Intafil Plus sealed system kit and vessel are designed for unvented heating systems only, and are not suitable for potable water applications.
Is this compatible with heat pump systems using glycol?
Yes, the vessel is rated for a maximum glycol concentration of 50%, making it suitable for heat pump circuits that need anti-freeze protection.
Does this kit need to be fitted by a qualified installer?
Yes. Installation should be carried out by a competent heating engineer in line with the manufacturer's instructions and current UK water regulations, including G24.1 and G24.2.
