It mirrors the outdoor-unit control connections to an indoor location, reducing the cable run to the outdoor unit and simplifying commissioning, fault-finding, and future service access.

Mounting the controller mirror box indoors means the engineer doesn't have to access the outdoor unit for every service check — fault codes, sensor readings and commissioning data are all visible from the indoor location. It's particularly useful for roof-mounted or constrained outdoor sites.
