The neoFlo works standalone without a hub from first installation — providing manual control, basic scheduling, boost, frost protection, and open window detection without any network connection. Most smart TRVs use a continuously running electric motor to hold the valve position — which creates noise and drains batteries quickly. The neoFlo's hybrid approach uses the motor only to reposition the valve, then hands over to the TRV's passive wax mechanism to hold it steady. This dramatically reduces motor run time, cutting noise to occasional brief adjustments and extending battery life to 5–6 years from 4× AA cells.
Works standalone from day one
The neoFlo doesn't require a hub to be useful. After fitting and calibrating the valve, it immediately provides manual temperature control, up to four daily heating periods, boost mode, open window detection, and frost protection — all operated via the physical button and wheel on the unit. A hub is needed only for app control and advanced features.
Full neoApp ecosystem when paired with neoHub G3
Adding the neoHub 3rd Generation unlocks the complete feature set: remote access via the neoApp, advanced schedules (5/2 and custom), pre-heat, holiday mode, temperature hold, open window sensitivity settings, temperature offset correction, and automatic OTA firmware updates. All neoFlo settings sync instantly between the device and the app.
Room-by-room boiler control via RF Switch
When combined with the neoHub G3 and the IMI Heatmiser RF Switch, the neoFlo can call for heat from the boiler independently for each radiator zone — rather than relying on a central thermostat to run the boiler. This means the boiler only fires when a room actually needs heat, eliminating the wasted energy of heating rooms that are already at temperature.
UFH + radiator hybrid in one app
For homes with both underfloor heating and radiators, the neoHub G3 allows both systems to be managed from a single neoApp interface. neoFlo radiator heads integrate directly into an existing neo UFH control setup — the same schedules, zones, and app screens, across every type of emitter in the home.
Adaptive thermal balancing + Heimeier Eclipse
The neoFlo includes an automatic thermal balancing function — it monitors flow and adjusts valve position to distribute heat evenly across all radiators without manual lockshield adjustment. For professionally balanced larger systems, it is designed to work alongside the IMI Heimeier Eclipse dynamic balancing radiator valve bodies, which provide static (V-exact II) and dynamic (Eclipse TRV) balancing solutions.

Adds the IMI Heatmiser RF Switch to the neoHub setup. Each neoFlo can now call for heat from the boiler independently — creating true room-by-room zoning without zone valves. Ideal for UFH/radiator hybrid homes or where a central thermostat is no longer desired. Installer setup required for RF Switch.
Valve body compatibility: The neoFlo is designed for use with standard M30×1.5mm threaded TRV valve bodies — the European standard used by the vast majority of modern UK radiator valves. For optimised hydronic balancing on larger or more complex systems, Heatmiser recommend pairing with the IMI Heimeier Eclipse dynamic TRV valve body or Heimeier V-exact II static preset valves (sold separately). Confirm your existing valve body thread before ordering — if you have Danfoss RA-type valve bodies (clip-fit, not threaded), an adapter may be required.
