The GSE Portrait End Clamp is the finishing fixing point of the GSE In-Roof Portrait mounting system, securing the outer edge of each solar module directly onto the system's polypropylene mounting tray. Supplied in a silver finish to complement lighter frame profiles, this clamp is available in two clamping heights — H21 and H26 — to correspond with different module frame thicknesses within the GSE In-Roof range.
Used at the start and end of every module row, the end clamp works alongside GSE's mid clamps, wedges, and EPDM seals to create a weathertight, roof-integrated finish that replaces conventional tiles or slates in the mounted area. As with all components in the GSE In-Roof system, correct clamp height selection is essential to achieving a secure, manufacturer-approved fit.

Please Note
The correct clamp height depends on both your module frame thickness and which GSE In-Roof system generation your frames belong to (V2012, V2012 P33, or V2020/V2022), as the compatible thickness range shifts slightly between generations. Confirm your system generation and module frame thickness against GSE's official correlation table before ordering, or contact our technical team to confirm the correct size for your installation.
Roof-Integrated Fixing
Clamps the module frame directly to the GSE polypropylene mounting tray, part of the roof-integrated (In-Roof) system rather than an on-roof rail.
Silver Finish
A silver finish is available alongside GSE's standard black clamps, allowing the fixing hardware to be colour-matched to lighter module frames for a cleaner visual finish.
Two Clamping Heights
Offered in H21 and H26 sizes, covering module frame thicknesses from around 35 mm up to 46 mm depending on your GSE system generation.
End-of-Row Clamping
Designed for use at the start and end of each module row, working alongside GSE mid clamps to hold the full row securely.
EPDM Seal Compatible
Used together with an EPDM joint, fitted beneath the clamp to maintain a weathertight seal against the roof-integrated tray.
Wedge-Supported Fit
Installed with a GSE left or right wedge beneath the mounting plate to provide additional support at the clamp position.
Good to Know
These end clamps are designed exclusively for the GSE In-Roof Portrait mounting system and its polypropylene mounting tray. They are not compatible with rail-based on-roof mounting systems, which use a separate GSE rail clamp range.
What is the difference between the H21 and H26 end clamps?
The number refers to the clamp's height designation, which corresponds to a specific module frame thickness. On the current V2020/V2022 system, H21 suits modules with a frame thickness of 35–36 mm, while H26 suits a thicker frame of 40–41 mm. Both figures shift slightly on the older V2012 and V2012 P33 system generations.
How do I know which clamp height I need?
Check your solar module manufacturer's datasheet for the frame thickness, then match this against GSE's official correlation table for your specific system generation (V2012, V2012 P33, or V2020/V2022). If you're unsure, our technical team can help you confirm the correct height before you order.
What is this end clamp used with?
It is used exclusively with the GSE In-Roof Portrait mounting system, clamping the module frame to the system's polypropylene mounting tray. It is not compatible with rail-mounted on-roof systems.
Do I need to order anything else alongside this clamp?
Yes. Each end clamp is typically used with an EPDM seal (fitted beneath the clamp) and a GSE left or right wedge (fitted beneath the mounting plate for support). These are ordered separately.
Is the silver finish structurally different to the black version?
No — the silver finish is a colour option only, chosen to complement lighter module frames. The clamping function and fixing method are the same as GSE's standard black end clamps.
Where is the end clamp positioned on a module row?
End clamps are fitted at the start and end of each module row. Clamps between adjacent modules within a row use GSE's separate mid clamp, not the end clamp.
