The Glow-worm GeniaAir Appliance Interface (HPIM 7 230V) is the indoor control and connection hub for the GeniaAir air-to-water heat pump. It carries the semi-touch display and installer menu, links to the outdoor unit over a communication cable, and provides the terminals for the cylinder sensor, external pump, diverter valve, back-up heater and energy supply company lockout.
An integrated CIM connection lets the MiGo Link internet gateway plug in for app control and energy data, while the eBUS connection takes the MiPro Sense system control. A guided installation assistant walks the installer through language, Flexible Space Function, system separation, filling and purging, and the compressor current limit.

Compatibility
Approved for use with the GeniaAir outdoor units HA .-7.1 O 230V range. The interface needs an indoor, frost-free, dry installation site (7 to 40°C, 20 to 75% relative humidity). Mains voltage must never be connected to the SELV terminals X100 (BUS, S20, S21), X41, VF1 or SP1.
Legionella protection
Set the anti-legionella function in the system control. Glow-worm’s documentation states the electric back-up heater must be connected and activated to give sufficient anti-legionella protection.
Key features
Semi-touch interface
Control elements light up when selectable and dim after 60 seconds to save energy. The installer level is code protected.
Plug-and-play connectivity
The CIM connection takes the MiGo Link internet gateway directly, enabling remote access and energy consumption data in the app.
Guided installation assistant
Steps through language, Flexible Space Function, intermediate heat exchanger, fill and purge programmes, cooling technology and compressor power limit (13 to 16 A).
Flexible outputs
Terminals for an external heating pump, heat exchanger pump, external 3-port diverter valve, external back-up heater and two multi-function outputs.
Grid and tariff ready
A potential-free S21 contact supports energy supply company lockout, and the unit can run on a single or dual power supply layout.
Diagnostics built in
Data overview, actuator tests, fault and limp-home history, status codes and a QR service code for the service app.

Frequently asked questions
Which system controls does it work with?
It takes the MiPro Sense system control over eBUS, including the wireless version, whose radio receiver plugs into the CIM interface. The MiGo Link gateway connects to the same CIM connection for app control.
Can it limit the heat pump’s electrical draw?
Yes. The installation assistant sets a compressor power limit of 13, 14, 15 or 16 A. As a guide, Glow-worm lists less than 16 A for outdoor units under 7 kW and less than 25 A for 10 to 12 kW units.
Does it support energy supply company lockout?
Yes. Connect the ripple control receiver’s potential-free contact to S21 and set in the system control whether the back-up heater, the compressor or both are blocked. A dual power supply layout is also described in the installation instructions.
Is there an on/off switch?
No. The product switches on as soon as it is connected to the mains, so use the building disconnector with at least 3 mm contact gap. Leave 30 minutes between installation and switching on.
Where should it be installed?
In a dry, frost-free interior room, away from steam and grease sources and not below any unit from which liquid could drip. Keep the clearances in the installation instructions around the housing.
