The Fox ESS CQ16 is a high-voltage, stackable LFP battery module providing
16.07kWh of usable-rated capacity per unit, purpose-built for commercial and industrial energy
storage systems. Modules connect in series to build scalable battery banks from 64.28kWh up to 241.05kWh,
supporting a 90% depth of discharge and >92% charge/discharge efficiency. Designed exclusively
for use with the Fox ESS H3 Plus inverter range, the CQ16 is a floor-mounted, indoor-only battery with
intelligent air cooling and IP20 protection.

The CQ16 is only suitable for indoor installation and is not water resistant. It must be installed by a qualified electrician in a dry, ventilated location away from flammable or explosive materials.
System Build Requirements
A minimum of 4 battery modules (64.28kWh) is required per system, in stacks of up to 4 modules each. Every system requires one Fox ESS CQ16 BMS Control Box, plus one Battery Base and one Cable Pack per stack — these are sold separately.
Inverter Compatibility
The CQ16 is compatible exclusively with the Fox ESS H3 Plus inverter range. Each of the H3 Plus's three battery ports can support a CQ16 system of up to 45 battery modules.
Stackable High-Voltage Architecture
Modules connect in series with a 51.2V nominal voltage each, allowing installers to scale a single system from 4 modules (64.28kWh) up to 15 modules (241.05kWh) without changing the underlying battery technology.
90% Depth of Discharge
A high usable capacity ratio means more of the rated 16.07kWh per module is actually available for daily cycling, improving the economics of commercial self-consumption and peak-shaving applications.
Intelligent Air Cooling
Built-in intelligent air cooling control manages module temperature automatically across a 0–55°C charge and −10–55°C discharge range, supporting consistent performance in plant room environments.
Compact Floor-Mounted Footprint
At 390 × 235 × 810mm per module, the CQ16 stacks vertically in a small floor footprint, making it practical to fit substantial storage capacity into constrained commercial plant spaces.

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₂) cell chemistry offers strong thermal stability for demanding commercial duty cycles, backed by a dedicated fire protection module in each unit.
