Can I leave unused Q Cable connectors uncovered during commissioning?
No. All unused connectors must be capped before energising the system. Unused connectors are live when connected to the utility supply. Leaving them uncapped creates a shock risk and allows moisture ingress that can permanently damage the cabling. The temporary shipping cap that comes on the cable is not a weatherproof substitute.
How is the sealing cap removed if I want to expand the system later?
