How Heat Retention Differs From Storage Heaters
Unlike old-style night storage heaters, EHC DSR radiators do not need to charge overnight on cheap-rate electricity. They store heat only while running during the day and release it gradually, so there is no wasted energy warming an empty room overnight and no separate off-peak electrical circuit to install.
App and Alexa Control Needs the Optional Gateway
Every radiator can be run manually from the onboard DSR controller straight out of the box. Wi-Fi app scheduling, geo-location, energy usage statistics, and Amazon Alexa voice control all require the separately purchased EHC Smart App Gateway, which is not included with the radiator.

Do I need the Smart Gateway to use this radiator?
