The EcoFlow OCEAN 2 Battery Floor Base is the genuine EcoFlow floor-standing foundation for the first stack of OCEAN 2 LFP batteries. It is designed for stacks built from the OCEAN 2 LFP Battery 5kWh (EF BD-5-S2) and the OCEAN 2 LFP Battery 8kWh (EF BD-8-S2), giving you a level, secure start point for up to 6 batteries per stack.
The base has adjustable feet and a built-in spirit level so you can set it perfectly horizontal on the floor, plus a click-on stacking terminal that links the first battery without external cables. It works with OCEAN 2 single-phase and three-phase hybrid inverter systems, and at just 704.6 x 177 x 119.5 mm and 2.76 kg it is easy to position on site. It is intended for all-OCEAN 2 stacks.

Safety and installation
Installation must be carried out by a qualified, trained installer following the EcoFlow installation guide. The floor must be solid, flat and able to carry the full weight of the stack, and the supplied bolts are intended for solid concrete floors, so select suitable fixings for other floor types. Each battery must be moved by two or more people using the handles, and for stacks of 4, 5 or 6 batteries the manufacturer calls for lifting equipment.
Mixing with PowerOcean batteries
This base is only recommended for stacks made up entirely of OCEAN 2 batteries. The OCEAN 2 5kWh battery is cross-compatible with PowerOcean 5kW batteries, but when you mix the two, do not use this base. Use the PowerOcean battery base instead, with the PowerOcean batteries at the bottom of the stack and the OCEAN 2 batteries on top.
Second stacks and wall mounting
This base is for the first stack. A second stack of up to 6 OCEAN 2 batteries is connected using a PowerOcean Plus battery base and battery junction box, both sold separately. For wall-mounted installations, EcoFlow offers a separate wall-mounted battery base that supports up to 3 batteries per stack.
Compatible with both OCEAN 2 battery sizes
Yes, one floor base covers both capacities. You can build a stack from 5kWh modules, 8kWh modules, or a mix of the two, as OCEAN 2 supports mixed use of its battery packs within the same system.

Frequently asked questions
Is this base compatible with both the 5kWh and 8kWh OCEAN 2 batteries?
Yes. It is the floor base for the first stack of OCEAN 2 LFP batteries, and EcoFlow's installation guide for the 8kWh battery uses the same battery base as the 5kWh. You can stack 5kWh modules, 8kWh modules, or a mixture on it.
How many batteries can I stack on it?
Up to 6 batteries per floor-standing stack. That gives a maximum of 30.12 kWh with six 5kWh modules or 48.18 kWh with six 8kWh modules.
Can I use it with PowerOcean batteries?
It is not recommended when mixing OCEAN 2 and PowerOcean batteries. In a mixed stack, use the PowerOcean battery base and place the PowerOcean batteries at the bottom with the OCEAN 2 batteries on top.
Does it work with single-phase and three-phase systems?
Yes. It is used with the OCEAN 2 single-phase and three-phase hybrid inverter systems, where the inverter stacks directly on top of the batteries.
