Description

The Delta Dore Smart TRV Starter Kit (6053096) lets you control heating room by room on existing hot-water radiators. It includes 3 × Smart TRV Adapt heads (6050686), one boiler / heat pump interlock receiver (6050676) and the Tydom Home UK hub (6700119) that ties everything together in the Delta Dore app.

Each head fits M30 × 1.5 valve bodies directly and the Adapt pack adds adapters for Danfoss RA, RAV and RAVL, Caleffi, Giacomini and M28 × 1.5 valves. With the hub you get remote programming, anticipation of heating start-up and automatic synchronisation of heads in the same room. The interlock receiver shuts down the boiler or heat pump when no radiator is calling for heat so you stop heating the system for nothing.

What is in the kit

3 × Smart TRV Adapt (6050686), each a smart head with its adapter set, 1 × interlock radio receiver for boiler or heat pump (6050676) and 1 × Tydom Home UK hub (6700119). Each head takes 2 × alkaline LR6 (AA) batteries.

Interlock wiring must be done by a competent installer

The interlock receiver connects to the control input of the boiler or heat pump. Isolate the supply first and have the connection made by a competent installer (Gas Safe registered where a gas appliance is involved), following the manufacturer's instructions.

Check your radiator valve bodies

Heads fit M30 × 1.5 directly. The included adapters cover Danfoss RA, RAV, RAVL, M28 × 1.5, Caleffi and Giacomini. Valve bodies outside this list are not covered, so identify yours before ordering. The Tydom Home hub must be connected to your router by Ethernet.

How many radiators does the kit cover?

The kit contains three heads. Delta Dore sells the head separately as the Smart TRV (6050685) and the Adapt pack (6050686) if you need to add more radiators later.

Will the heads fit my radiator valves?

They screw straight onto M30 × 1.5 valve bodies. Danfoss RA, RAV and RAVL, M28 × 1.5, Caleffi and Giacomini valves are covered by the supplied adapters.

What does the interlock receiver do?

It acts as a generator receiver: when no head is calling for heat, it switches the boiler or heat pump off, which avoids running the heat source with every valve closed.

Do I need the hub?

The hub is included and adds remote programming, anticipation, room synchronisation and humidity display. It connects to your router by Ethernet.

What batteries do the heads use?

Each head takes two LR6 (AA) alkaline batteries (supplied with the Smart TRV) and Delta Dore quotes up to 2 years of battery life. Rechargeable cells are compatible.
