Description

The Calmag CalRad 125ml Electric Towel Radiator Protector is an inhibitor developed specifically for water-filled electric towel radiators. It gives long-term protection against corrosion and limescale in a part of the system that is easily overlooked, and it prevents hydrogen gassing.

One 125ml bottle protects up to 12 litres when dosed at 1%. CalRad is suitable for all metals, non-toxic and biodegradable, and Calmag’s patented Uni-Dose adaptors let you apply it through the bleed screw or directly through the radiator, so it works for new installs, indirect heating systems and retro-fitted application on existing radiators.

CalRad can be added to an existing towel radiator or used to top up inhibitor within an indirect heating system, using the Uni-Dose applicators through the bleed screw or direct through the radiator.

Dosing note

Dose at 1% of the water volume. One 125ml bottle covers up to 12 litres, so larger water volumes need proportionally more product. CalRad is intended for water-filled electric towel radiators.

Electrical safety

Isolate the electrical supply to the radiator element before opening the bleed screw or dosing, and have any electrical work carried out by a competent person in line with BS 7671.
