What does 'reversible' mean for this TRV?

A reversible TRV can be installed on either side of the radiator - so whichever side your pipework approaches from, the valve can be fitted without needing a separate left- or right-handed version.

Do I need an auto bypass valve with this TRV?

Yes. As with all Bentley valves, an automatic bypass valve should be fitted where this TRV is used as a reverse-flow valve, to maintain stable differential pressure across the system.
