Verplas 150mm x 2m Round Rigid PVC Duct Pipe

Description

The Verplas VKC673 is a 150mm diameter, 2-metre rigid round PVC duct pipe — the primary straight-run component for 150mm ventilation systems in loft spaces, ceiling voids, and service routes. Part of Verplas's acclaimed System 150 round ducting range, it is manufactured from recycled PVC sourced from waste window and door frames, giving it excellent sustainability credentials without compromising on performance. Compatible with the full range of 150mm Verplas fittings, connectors, valves, and grilles for a complete system.

Full Range Compatibility

Sustainable Manufacture: All Verplas round duct lengths are made from recycled windows and door frames, diverting plastic waste from landfill. The range carries a Bronze Carbon Literate Organisation award.

Key Features

2-Metre Rigid Run

Provides a 2m low-resistance straight run in a single section — reducing the number of joints required and minimising system air leakage across longer routes.

Recycled uPVC Construction

Made from recycled white uPVC, delivering a lightweight, smooth-bore duct with low internal friction resistance for efficient airflow.

Male Spigot Ends

Both ends are male spigots for push-fit connection into female sockets on connectors, bends, T-pieces, and terminal fittings — no tools required.

System 150 Compatible

Designed to mate with all Verplas System 150 fittings — connectors, bends, T-pieces, valves, grilles, reducers, silencers, and flexible hoses.

Fan & MVHR Applications

Suitable for bathroom, kitchen, and utility extract fans, dMEV units, and MVHR distribution runs in domestic and light commercial builds.

Smooth Internal Bore

The smooth PVC bore minimises turbulence and pressure drop, supporting efficient fan performance at low noise levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this duct made from recycled material?

Yes. Verplas manufactures all its round duct lengths from recycled uPVC derived from waste windows and door frames, preventing this material from going to landfill.

What connectors do I need to join two 2m lengths?

Use the Verplas VKC365 150mm Round Connector, which accepts the male spigot of each duct length to create a secure push-fit joint between sections.

Can I cut the pipe to a shorter length?

Yes — uPVC duct pipe can be cut cleanly with a fine-tooth hacksaw. Deburr the cut end before fitting to avoid restricting airflow.

What is the maximum airflow this duct can carry?

The 150mm bore supports typical domestic extract flow rates of 50–100 l/s depending on system layout. Consult your fan or MVHR manufacturer's design guide for system-specific sizing.

Is this pipe suitable for outdoor use?

The pipe itself is durable uPVC, but outdoor terminations must use a rated external grille or cowl (e.g. VKC292 Gravity Grille) to prevent weather ingress and back-draught.
