Installation Note: The VX100T-SP Timer (92931AW) requires a 3-core feed (Live, Neutral, Timer wire). Ensure mains is isolated before wiring. The timer overrun period is adjusted via the internal control T — set clockwise to increase, anti-clockwise to decrease. Both models require a means of disconnection in all poles in the fixed wiring (minimum 3mm contact separation).

What is the difference between the Standard and Timer versions?
The VX100-SP Standard (92935AW) operates only while its connected switch is live — typically wired to the room lighting circuit. When the light turns off, the fan stops immediately. The VX100T-SP Timer (92931AW) continues to run after the switch opens, for an adjustable overrun period of 90 seconds to 30 minutes. This overrun purges residual moisture and is a requirement under Building Regulations Part F for some bathroom configurations. The timer fan requires an additional 3rd wire (Timer terminal) in the wiring.
Can this fan be installed in a shower zone (Zone 1)?
Yes. Both the 92935AW and 92931AW are rated IPX4, which means they can tolerate water splashing from any direction. This makes them suitable for installation within Zone 1 and Zone 2 of a bathroom as defined by BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations). For Zone 1 installations, a 30mA RCD must protect the circuit.

How do I adjust the overrun time on the 92931AW Timer model?
The overrun timer is adjusted using control T inside the fan housing. Remove the front cover by depressing the latch and pulling it off. Turn clockwise to increase the run-on period and anti-clockwise to reduce it. The range is 90 seconds to 30 minutes. The factory default is typically around 5 minutes. Always isolate the mains supply before opening the housing.
Will the VX100-SP meet Part F ventilation requirements for a bathroom?
Approved Document Part F requires a minimum 15 l/s intermittent extract rate for bathrooms with no opening windows. The VX100-SP delivers 21 l/s at free air, comfortably exceeding this.
