The Wiser Temperature & Humidity Sensor (CCT596012) combines a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor in one compact unit and reports both readings to your Wiser 2nd Generation Hub. Use it as a discreet, battery-powered alternative to a Wiser Room Thermostat, or add it to a room that already has a Wiser thermostat so the system works from a more accurate averaged room temperature.
Pairing takes a few taps in the Wiser Home app: scan the QR code, press the setup button for 3 seconds and assign the sensor to a room. From there you can view live temperature and humidity, review the reading history and build automations that trigger other Wiser devices, such as raising a heating setpoint when a room is cold or switching on an extractor fan when humidity climbs. No subscription fee, Zigbee 3.0 certified and backed by a 3 year warranty.

Safety: coin cell battery
The sensor uses a CR2032 coin cell. Keep batteries out of reach of children. If a battery is swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local statutory regulations.
Compatibility: Wiser 2nd Generation Hub required
Any Wiser 2nd Generation Hub is required. The sensor is not a standalone thermostat and does not switch your boiler or heating by itself; it reports to the Hub, which controls your Wiser heating devices.
Placement
Do not install the sensor in strong sunlight or wind (for example close to ventilation) as this can damage the equipment and give misleading readings.
Temperature source for heating control
Switch on the Temperature source option in the Wiser Home app to let the sensor feed room temperature into your heating control. This is available with the Wiser 16 A Relay for Temperature Control, Wiser Radiator Thermostat and Wiser Underfloor Heating Connection Strip. Where a room has several temperature devices (Wiser Room Thermostat, connected flush-mounted thermostat or this sensor), the system averages the readings.
Key features
Temperature and humidity in one
Measures both in the room where it is fitted and sends the data to the Hub. Temperature resolution is 0.1 °C with humidity measured across 25 % to 90 % RH.
Optional heating temperature source
Use the sensor as a temperature source alongside your thermostat so heating is regulated on a combined, more representative room reading.
Automations and Moments
Trigger other Wiser devices from a temperature or humidity change, add time conditions, notifications and waits, and activate Moments. Up to 10 automations can be stored.
Voice and smart home
Works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and bridges to Matter through the Wiser 2nd Generation Hub.
Easy fitting
Fix with screws or the supplied adhesive pad on a rotating wall plate. Pairing uses a QR code scan and a 3 second press of the setup button.
Monitoring you can trust
View live readings and history in the app, plus battery level, Zigbee signal strength and offline status reported to the Hub.
How it works with your heating
The sensor continuously reports to the Hub, so you can build rules based on real room conditions. For example, set an automation so the setpoint rises to 20 °C when the room drops below 18 °C, then add a second automation to turn the heater off when the room reaches 25 °C or higher. The Wiser Home app guides you through both, and sliding the temperature condition to the bottom of the scale activates Frost Protection, which maintains 5 °C.
Humidity-based rules work the same way: when humidity rises in a bathroom or kitchen, the sensor can trigger a compatible Wiser device, such as a Power Micro Module controlling an extractor fan, to help manage moisture.

Frequently asked questions
Does the sensor need a Wiser 2nd Generation Hub?
Yes. The sensor requires any Wiser 2nd Generation Hub and is controlled through the Wiser Home app.
Can it replace a Wiser Room Thermostat?
It is a discreet and affordable alternative for measuring room conditions. With the Temperature source option enabled and a compatible Wiser heating device (16 A Relay for Temperature Control, Radiator Thermostat or Underfloor Heating Connection Strip), its readings feed into heating control.
How long does the battery last and how do I replace it?
Battery life is up to 2 years depending on usage and environment. A CR2032 is included. To replace it, rotate the sensor clockwise off the wall plate, release the old cell with a flat-head screwdriver or pen, fit a new one with the + side visible and refit the sensor by rotating it anticlockwise. The LED blinks green seven times to confirm.
How do I pair it with the Hub?
In the Wiser Home app go to Devices, then Climate, then Temp/Humidity Sensor. Remove the battery isolation tape, scan the QR code on the back, press and hold the setup button for 3 seconds until the LED blinks green and amber, then name the sensor and assign it to a room.
What automations can I create?
Create rules triggered by a temperature or humidity change, optionally limited to a time or period of the day. Actions include controlling a device, sending a notification, activating a Moment and adding a wait of up to 24 hours. Each automation supports up to 10 conditions and 10 actions.
How do I factory reset the sensor?
Remove the sensor from the wall plate, short-press the setup button 3 times (under 0.5 seconds each), then long-press it once for more than 10 seconds until the LED blinks red. Release the button and the sensor restarts and blinks green.
