The Vaillant VR940F myVaillant Connect (0010037346) is a Wi-Fi internet gateway that connects a compatible Vaillant boiler, heat pump, or hybrid system to the myVAILLANT smartphone app — enabling full remote control and monitoring from anywhere. This specific version is supplied with the CIM cable for a clean, single-cable installation on the ecoTEC plus range: the cable connects directly into the CIM port underneath the boiler, providing both power and eBUS communication with no need for an external plug socket or additional wiring.
For all other Vaillant appliances (ecoTEC pro, ecoFIT, aroTHERM, geoTHERM etc.), the gateway can also be powered via the VRA 42 adapter or an external three-pin power supply (sold separately depending on the system). Compatible with all Vaillant eBUS appliances from 2006 onwards, including the full heat pump range. Supports Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and the myVAILLANT Pro remote monitoring portal for installer use.

Single-cable CIM install on ecoTEC plus
On the ecoTEC plus boiler range, the CIM cable connects into the dedicated port on the underside of the appliance — delivering both power and eBUS data through one connection. The gateway clips neatly below the boiler with no external socket, no loose cables, and no separate power adaptor required.
Compatible with all eBUS systems from 2006+
Works with boilers, air source heat pumps (aroTHERM), ground source heat pumps (geoTHERM, flexoTHERM), and hybrid systems — any Vaillant eBUS appliance manufactured from 2006 onwards. For non-ecoTEC plus systems, the gateway is powered via a VRA 42 adapter or three-pin plug depending on the appliance (see compatibility table below).
myVAILLANT app — remote control & monitoring
The homeowner app (iOS and Android) gives full remote control of heating schedules, temperature setpoints, and hot water programmes from anywhere. System status, energy reports, and fault alerts are accessible at a glance. Installers can access the myVAILLANT Pro portal for remote diagnostics and optimisation.
Amazon Alexa & Apple HomeKit
The gateway integrates natively with Amazon Alexa for voice control of heating and hot water, and with Apple HomeKit for inclusion in the Apple Home ecosystem — allowing automation, scenes, and Siri voice commands. Smart home integration is currently available for single heating zone systems.
Pairs with the full senso thermostat range
Compatible with the sensoCOMFORT, sensoHOME, sensoROOM, sensoROOM pure and VRC 700 controllers. Supersedes the older SensoNET internet gateway, making it a direct upgrade for existing Vaillant-controlled systems. Note: ambiSENSE thermostats are not compatible with the VR940F.
Secure cloud communication
All communication runs via Vaillant's cloud-to-cloud server over an encrypted 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection (WPA2-PSK / WPA3-Personal). IP assignment is via DHCP — no static IP configuration required. The gateway is also PSTI Act compliant (UK Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act 2024).
Power Connection by Appliance Type
The CIM cable (supplied with this version) works only on the ecoTEC plus. For all other appliances, an additional adapter is required and must be ordered separately.
