Description

The Vaillant aroTHERM plus connection kit for ground installation (0010027971) is the manufacturer's own solution for connecting a ground-mounted aroTHERM plus monobloc heat pump to below-ground pipework. It uses short, right-angled flexible hoses to take the connections from the back of the heat pump down to the buried pipe, and an insulating shell (EPP) to protect the connection.

Because it is matched to the aroTHERM plus, the kit gives a neat, compact connection point that is quick to fit, helps limit heat loss at the transition, and removes the need to improvise hoses and lagging on site. It is typically used with a pre-insulated buried pipe run to the building.

This kit is for ground installation. Wall-mounted units use the aroTHERM wall connection kit (0010027974) or the straight pipe connection kit (0010027976). If the pipework drop is higher than standard, for example when the unit sits on a snow spacer frame, Vaillant's insulation extension piece (0010027972) extends the insulating jacket. Pre-insulated buried pipe is not part of this kit.

Installation & safety

Heat pump installation, including the hydraulic connections, must be carried out by a competent heating engineer following the current Vaillant installation instructions and relevant UK regulations. For ground installation, Vaillant requires the heat pump condensate to be discharged via a downpipe into a gravel bed.
