The Vaillant ecoFIT Pure 415 (MPN 10020401) is a 15kW open vent (regular/heat-only) gas boiler, built for homes with a traditional heating system comprising a hot water storage cylinder and, where needed, a cold water feed and expansion tank in the loft. It suits smaller properties replacing an older open vent system, or installations where low incoming mains water pressure makes a combi boiler impractical.

A high-specification aluminium heat exchanger is designed for long service life and easier maintenance, while wide modulation of up to 1:5 lets the boiler adapt closely to system demand across a range of installations. What's the difference between an open vent boiler and a combi boiler?

An open vent (regular) boiler only heats water — it needs a separate hot water cylinder and, where required, a cold water feed tank, typically in the loft. A combi boiler heats water on demand with no cylinder needed. Open vent systems work well for homes with low mains water pressure or where a like-for-like replacement of an existing system is preferred.

Do I need a cylinder and tank to use this boiler?

How do I get the full 7-year warranty?
