The ThermoSphere Electric Oil Filled Radiator V2 is a wall-mounted, thermal-fluid electric radiator designed as a direct, efficient replacement for storage heaters or old panel convectors in rooms without access to underfloor heating. Each unit combines a die-cast aluminium fin body filled with an efficient thermal fluid with a fully programmable electronic thermostat, giving fast, accurate heat-up with minimal temperature overrun.
Available across seven power outputs from 500W to 2000W, the range covers everything from small bathrooms and box rooms up to large, poorly insulated living spaces. Every model shares the same control platform, wiring method and 5-year warranty, so the only decision to make is which output best suits the room.

Each unit features an electronic thermostat with LCD display, 7-day programmable heating schedule, manual temperature setting, and open window detection with optimum start (ITCS) as standard across the whole range.
Important Safety Information
This radiator is hard-wired only (no plug fitted) and must be connected via a switched fused spur by a competent person. It must be installed at least 150mm above floor level, 150mm from the sides, 350mm from the top, and 1m clearance to the front. If installed in a bathroom, it must only be fitted within Zone 2 or Outside Zones (Zone 3) per BS 7671 Section 701 — installation within Zones 0 or 1 is strictly prohibited.
High Thermal Inertia Fluid
The efficient thermal fluid fill retains heat far longer than a dry element, so the radiator continues releasing warmth after the element switches off — reducing cycling and smoothing out room temperature.
Intelligent Temperature Control (ITCS)
The Intelligent Temperature Control System learns how long the room takes to reach set temperature and automatically brings the heating on early, so the room is at temperature exactly when scheduled — not late.
Open Window Detection
If room temperature drops sharply within 30 minutes, the radiator assumes a window or door has been opened and switches off automatically, resuming once the temperature recovers — preventing wasted energy from heating an open room.
Built-In Power Consumption Monitor
A dedicated power consumption menu displays energy use over 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days directly on the LCD, helping track and manage running costs without a separate energy monitor.
9 Built-In Schedules Plus 4 Custom
Choose from 9 factory-preset weekly schedules covering common living patterns (mornings/evenings, office hours, second-home use), or program up to 4 fully custom schedules in 30-minute intervals.
Boost Mode
Boost mode allows a temporary temperature override for a set duration — from 15 minutes up to 44 days — without disturbing the underlying weekly schedule.

Can this radiator be plugged into a normal socket?
No. The ThermoSphere Oil Filled Radiator V2 is supplied with a 1.5m cable but no plug fitted — it must be hard-wired into a switched fused spur by a qualified electrician.
Can I install this in a bathroom?
Yes, but only within Zone 2 or Outside Zones (Zone 3) as defined by BS 7671 Section 701. Installation within Zones 0 or 1 is not permitted under any circumstances.
Which output do I need for my room?
As a guide, use the good/poor insulation area figures in the specification table above and round up to the next available output. Two radiators can be combined in a single room to reach a higher combined output if needed.
Does it need a special controller or programmer?
No. The electronic thermostat with 7-day programmable schedule is built into each unit, so no external room thermostat or programmer is required for standalone operation.
What is the warranty on this radiator?
Each unit carries a 5-year warranty from Thermogroup Ltd, subject to correct installation in accordance with the ThermoSphere installation instructions.
