Installer Note: Manifold connections to the heat source use 1" MT flat-sealing fittings — do not over-torque. Ball valves (sold separately) must be fitted to the supply and return ports before system fill. Commission flow rates per circuit using the integrated return-rail regulating valves before fitting actuators.

EPDM O-Ring Gaskets

How do I select the correct port count for my project?
Choose one port per heating loop/circuit. A typical UFH layout allocates one loop per room or zone — for example, a 5-room ground floor would use a 5 port manifold. Larger open-plan areas may require two loops and therefore two ports. Always refer to your UFH design layout plan, which will specify the number of loops and their target flow rates.
What pipe types are compatible with this manifold?
The ¾" Euroconus connections accept 15×2mm and 16×2mm multilayer (Multi/PEX), PERT, and PERT-AL-PERT pipe using the appropriate Euroconus compression fittings (sold separately). The Euroconus system does not require any specialist crimping tools — the compression nut, pipe support insert, and split olive are tightened by hand then torqued with a spanner.
Which actuators are compatible with the return-rail valve ports?
Any thermal actuator with an M30×1.5 thread will fit directly — this is the universal Eurostandard actuator fixing used by all major manufacturers including Honeywell, Salus, Danfoss, Siemens, and Schneider. Both normally-open (NO) and normally-closed (NC) variants are physically compatible; select NC for most zone-control wiring centre installations.
Does the manifold include ball valves for isolation?
The manifold body ships with the integrated end-set providing fill/drain/flush ports, but 1" isolation ball valves for the main supply and return connections to the heat source are sold separately. These should always be fitted to allow the manifold to be isolated for maintenance without draining the whole system. Both plain-handle (ZL-4130) and temperature-gauge (ZL-4012) ball valve sets are available.
Is this manifold suitable for use with a heat pump system?
Yes. The stainless steel body is fully compatible with low-temperature heat pump circuits and inhibited closed systems. UFH is an ideal emitter for heat pumps as it operates efficiently at flow temperatures of 35–45°C, within the SCOP-optimised range of most air source heat pumps. Ensure the system blending valve (sold separately) is set to the correct design flow temperature for your heat pump.
How is the manifold balanced after installation?
Each circuit's return-rail regulating valve has a graduated adjustment that restricts flow to match the design rate for that loop. With all actuators removed or open, set the system running and use a flow indicator (or the system pump head) to check total flow. Adjust each return valve, starting from the shortest loop, until all circuits achieve their target flow rates. Refit actuators and thermostats once balancing is complete.
